good place to have some real taste of Chinese “XIANG cuisine”. We didn’t order many dishes as we only have two people. Stir-fry green beans is a good choice for some greens and you can’t go wrong for white rice with these dishes!

If you ask me say a couple years ago I’ll probably give this restaurant maybe 2-3 stars because I didn’t really enjoy the food as much. It’s almost directly across the street from another Hunan restaurant so I ignored this restaurant for a couple of years after one not so great visit. However, recently I really enjoy this restaurant for some unique dishes and even prefer this over the other Hunan restaurant Wonderful across from the street. What I mean is that this restaurant has a more traditional flavor/chopping than Wonderful (I don’t know why but the pieces are sometimes too big in Wonderful that you felt like the one chopping the ingredients doesn’t know how to properly prepare in Chinese food). There are also interesting flavors such as different styles/types of chili peppers used. They also use interesting ingredients such as lotus tip and pickled long bean that are really rare in most Chinese restaurants here.

The taste of the food was pretty good (if a bit oily). I would have given higher, however, except for the fact that my noodles with vegetables had basically no vegetables (just a bit of cabbage and green onion). I ended up combining the two dishes as the other one had peppers in it. If there had been some nice, crispy vegetables, I would have given this a 5 star.

All items were exceeding expectations. Stor fried minced pork with droed cucmber peels was spicy and tasty. Tofu was well cooked and was hot. The largest portion waa stir fried boned chicken with pepper and garlic. We separately ordered portions of rice ans noodles Eggplant with minced prok , garlic and cilantro was my favorite dish of the day. Squid with tentacles was the spiciest dish yet was very tasty. Maybe they got their reputation from other locations or their early years of the service. The food portion is small and therefor the dishes r pricy. Got a steam chicken and it is a small bowl and full of half bowl chicken necks and feet.. another table of clients who next us also said they won’t come back. Food tastes ok but there are so many better options nearby. Come and give a try, then it is ur call~
