I asked what the white sauce was & whether it had milk or dairy in it & no one understood or could tell me yes, no, or give me ingredients that made sense. I asked to sub the rice for veggies & they said they couldn’t do it & that a veggie substitute would be a $3 up-charge & that the rice is “free.” I hate how they claim to be “healthy” yet nothing was healthy about my dish of deep fried breaded tofu with rice & zero greens. This is not a healthy balanced meal. My friend got the beef with rice & the beef was undercooked & very chewy with not enough seasoning. Pretty bland. No condiments on the tables to help either. And the service wasn’t good. Would not order here again.

Italian place across the street was all booked up so we came here instead and what a find! Really good dim sum!!! Food came out super quick, really hot and freshly made. Highly recommended for eating alone or with a group. They have great boba milk tea drinks and oddly enough we all enjoyed the plain hot Green Jasmine tea the best! I found only a couple of vegan options (rice and various veggies like the spiced cucumbers, sauteed veggies and veggie dumplings). I was very satisfied.

Came here with friends for a late lunch and ordered 5 dishes. The dishes we got were good, if a little bland. The noodles definitely needed chili sauce. Each dish came out 1 by 1 and there was a long wait between each dish

While looking for a new ramen place to go to we thought about lulu’s noodles in Oakland and sadly to my surprise they had closed. In its place is now BAO II (CMU). We thought we would give them a try. We had the large wonton soup, homestyle chicken fried rice, pot stickers, Shumai, Bao, and the soup dumplings. Let me tell you they did not disappoint it was fantastic. The wonton soup was full of flavor. The Shumai was on point, the Bao and dumplings were great, the fried pot stickers were delicious and the honey garlic soy sauce for on top is so delicious I could drink it. Needless to say we were very pleased and will be back soon to try something else. If all thier food tastes like what we just had I am sure I will not be disappointed.

Just like their other location, Bao II has delicious food! There were a lot fewer people at this one, which was nice. We had great service and enjoyed our food and bubble tea! This is some of the best food in town!

I’ve been here twice and both times it was very “okay”. The first visit I had the dumpling platter and the stir fried ramen. The dumplings were okay and the stir fried ramen was a mistake. The second time I had tea eggs and soup dumplings. Both were flavorless and disappointing. I’ve had traditional soup dumplings in Shanghai and these made trader Joe’s frozen soup dumplings seem authentic.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, place was about empty at 5:30p or so (2 other tables I think) and three people were working. My wife and I attempted to eat some unspeakably disgusting “ribs” (ankles? feet?) with bubble tea and matcha (these weren’t good either, and for some reason they didn’t bring them to the table, I had to go to the counter and get them because they’d forgotten or not communicated where they were supposed to go), and I couldn’t wait for the pork buns we ordered given how long it took to bring them out. I just waited for my wife to get done vomiting in the fly infested bathroom and we left. No one working there spoke English the day we were there, so nothing could be communicated, requested, explained, or solved. I’d say something more helpful but I’m going to get sick if I keep thinking about what I ate here and I need to move on… I can only recommend you go elsewhere, you’re probably surrounded by restaurants right now and most of them are certainly better.
