Best. Sichuan. Fish. In all of Boston. I’ve been to Sichuan places in Chinatown, Quincy, Somerville, Medford, and Watertown and probably more, and this crispy fish is just so perfectly crispy, flaky moist, fresh, spicy but not too spicy, not too oily, not too much breading, it’s just perfect. Apparently they’ve done this recipe for 15 years!! Other dishes were excellent as well, just when you’ve got such a stand out dish well..

The owner/manager is awesome. He’s always helping with menu choices and suggestions. The rest of his staff are always very friendly. Some of the best Sichuan I have had. Nothing beats the real deal in China but I do like this a lot. My favorite is the chili fish and dry chili chicken. So good. I usually get it once a week. Many other dishes I’ve had in the past are very good as well. See you next week!!

Superior Chinese food. The menu is semi Amercanized, but there are some amazing dishes I don’t think you could find elsewhere. The Ma La Dry Fried Fish is phenomenal, however I do warn that I LOVE spicy, but I’ve asked to reduce the chilies haha. Nonetheless, the flavors with the spice makes it so delectable. We also always order the Mini Appetizer and everything always tastes fresh.

They serve the “old school” traditional sichuan style food. I walked in expecting this to be an Americanized Chinese restaurant, and was pleasantly surprised that it was not. Overall I was impressed with the quality of food for a decent price.

We eat here on a regular basis, and we have never been disappointed. We particularly like the lunch specials available during weekdays. They provide a generous helping of food (including a soup, egg roll, main dish, and rice) at a really reasonable price. When my adult-kids come home for a visit, they usually want home-cooked favorites, but if they ask for take-out, this is the place they want it from, and that says a lot because my kids are some serious foodies with high standards. Also, the staff are friendly and helpful, so there’s a bonus.
