Now know why was able to get a table at 7:15pm on a Friday night when making a reservation at 7:05pm. Pricier menu than Stone Creek Inn. Service, sub par (forgot to enter our appetizer. Tells us we didn’t order one). Kitchen, sub par. Menu states USDA PRIME. Doubt it was even choice. Opted for the dry rub on filet. Filet came out rare when ordered medium. Brought up to temp, but now the only flavor was charred carbon, couldn’t even eat it. Manager was lovely, came over and comped a round of drinks. Needless to say, we won’t be returning. It’sa shame, because 1 North USED to be so good.

I grew up on long island and got my culinary inspiration from here. Ive seen a lot of restaurants come and go. Have even worked at most of these places in the Hamptons. It wasn’t until I spent some time away growing and understanding what food really means. After all my years of eating here until today I have taken this food for granted. The amount of time, the amount of effort, the amount of care that the chef puts into the work of this food. From bacon wrapped scallops to bureau tacos to a perfectly cooked steak. From the land or the sea that you will find something that perfectly suits your needs. That has been carefully thought about and tested and made exquisitely. Thank you for all the years of wonderful food. This is one of the best steakhouses on Long Island.

We were at a large family and friends gathering. Many different appetizers were served, and every one was superb. The best were the chopped lox mixture on spoons and the bacon wrapped scallops with sweet barbeque sauce. The friendly staff helped a lot getting drinks for everyone, passing through the crowd to serve appetizers on trays and clearing away empty glasses and trash. This is a very popular restaurant and bar for dinner and drinks year-round.

I have to start by saying I having celiac disease.. so going out to dinner is always a challenge. But this place gets it, from the hostess who greeted us to the waitress Cathy who was very accommodating. She made us feel like family, and that everything was going to be just fine and it was above and beyond just fine. I started with a Caesar salad. I know some people are thinking. Oh it’s a salad. How can you go wrong It could go wrong. The salad was just incredible. my dinner was filet mignon that didn’t need a steak knife. I could’ve cut it with a butter knife. it was so tender the grilled asparagus were perfect. I never take food home, but I live an hour west from this restaurant, and I wasn’t going to leave that delicious food on the table. so I asked her if she would give me some ice so the food will stay fresh while I drove home and she did. I’m looking forward to going back again. Best restaurant I’ve ever been to. thank you for everything!!!

This steakhouse is okay nothing to write home about. I’ve dined here several times each time weird experiences. From the wait staff to the hostess. If you’re not Caucasian good luck with them acting normal towards you. They go out there way too make you feel uncomfortable. I went for my birthday and my vegetables were burnt and extremely greasy my steak was over cooked I asked for it medium it came to me medium well only thing about that meal I enjoyed were the appetizers . I mentioned it to the waitress she took the dish and came back to tell me everyone agreed she also had a smirk on her face and nothing was token off the bill . That night I spent well over $350 . My most recent experience I walked in to be greeted with the hostess giving me the middle finger pretty much it was done by her scratching the side of her face with her middle finger I was shocked to say the least. I announced my name for pick up it was so bizarre. So go there if you like to feel mistreated uncomfortable that’s the place for dinner!! Last I checked the Hamptons is not the Amalfi Coast, Sardinia, Monte-Carlo ,Crete . Please stop with the bizarre behavior towards people you just don’t know who you are disrespecting and how that can affect your business and reputation

1 North is a pretty good steakhouse. I ordered the 16 oz boneless ribeye with garlic mash potatoes and sauteed broccoli. It was cooked to a beautiful medium and was delicious. For appetizer, I got the lobster bisque. It was good but a bit too salty. The service was good. It was kind of warm in the restaurant though. It could’ve been cooler by 3-5 degrees. Overall good experience.
