Poor service but great food! Cooking team is 100% squared away! From calamari to the coconut shrimp, to the bang bang grouper sandwich. Food is very good! Would not recommend, until new management or something. Or maybe getting it to go? ‍♂️

Great little spot off the beaten path. Shared some plates tapas style. I would have not have expected the food to be as great as it was considering it wasn’t by anything.

This hidden gem is a local favorite. My husband loves fried seafood, and at 1229 Shine, they do a light tempura batter on their obviously fresh, never frozen seafood. I had a brunch special avocado toast with the crab spread, and it was bursting with flavor. Appetizer of the Bang Bang Grouper Bites was delightful with that excellent, unique, light batter. Anytime we are in the area, we enjoy dining here. Very clean and great service.

Amazing find. Such a gem!! Loved the food, the atmosphere, and the service. Happy hour was incredible 4-7. The prices were without a question reasonable. The food was delightful. They even catered to GF people like me!! Such a win!! Hands down one of my New Favs of Myrtle Beach….

Shine is a medium sized restaurant that has excellent service and a variety of seafood available. My Chicken was cooked well, however the pimento cheese had a negative impact on the sandwich. The chicken was otherwise great and I would get it again. I couldn’t taste the flavoring on the fries, if there was any, it was inconsequential to the plate. This establishment has plenty of seating and parking. My experience was above average.

Very good service. Place seemed pretty clean. Gf breaded grouper was wonderful. Loved it. Was my favorite. Then the gf breaded fried shrimp. Neither of us cared for the gf breaded fried oysters. Fries were pretty awful. Again gluten free. They were cold and kind of chewy. Like warmed up left overs. Didn’t eat many of those. I didn’t like the coleslaw. But the other person on my party really liked it. I had a mojito and that was very good. Gluten free menu available.

This place is such a hidden gem. If you stumble across this place you will not be disappointed. Great food. Great service. I don’t think we have had so much fun just enjoying the food. We ordered almost everything off the happy hour menu and everything was spectacular and my son said the smash burger was one of the best burgers he has ever had. 10/10 great job.

Had a delicious appetizer of Calamari here along with drinks. Try the Frozen Screwdriver, adult slushy heaven y’all! Fresh Orange Juice with a hint of peach schnapps and vodka. Yum! The calamari had some spicy chilies tossed in at the end and the cilantro in the sweet chili sauce gave it a unique and really good flavor compared to other similar sauces.

Best oysters Rockefellar. Beats anything we’ve had in New Orleans and maybe better than antibiotics we’ve had in Charleston.

We had a wonderful lunch here today. There is nothing bad I can say about this place. Our server Shane was excellent one of the best we’ve encountered. Our drinks were always full, food was delivered quickly and we were not rushed in ordering or eating. The decor was very upscale, comfortable and inviting. The food was a real treat big portions, beautifully plated and served hot. We had a wide variety of dishes and appetizers. We thought we were full when Shane recommended the key Lime pie which the 4 of us shared the huge piece. Served with a delicious raspberry sauce and whipped cream. Our only regret is we didn’t find this gem of a restaurant sooner. We will be back for sure.
