14 Parish Kitchen is your home away from home that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. Saltfish with ackee, butterbean, callaloo and okra are a few of our breakfast items served daily with your choice of our boiled dumplings/plantains/banana or fluffy fried dough generally referred to as fried dumpling. Run Dung, a unique dish of our beloved Caribbean home of Jamaica happens to be a particular favorite, which is mackerel prepared in a savory blend of spices inclusive of coconut milk, tomato, onion, garlic and encompasses the unique tastes our kitchen has to offer.
The kitchen opens daily at 8:00am and closes at 8:00pm. Don’t worry we are here to serve your appetite.

I was in the mood for Jamaican food and had this spot on the list. I ordered my food online. I ordered the red snapper and the king fish. A few minutes later they called me and said they had no red snapper and no king fish. Bummer! I went with the sweet chili salmon and the whiting. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby and walked in. I was greeted and told them my name. The nice young lady grabbed my food and handed it to me and I left. When I got in I dug in and the food was very good. The salmon was very filling and the sweet chili was very good. I also enjoyed the whiting. I had a good experience and would return.

Only complaint is I got 6 oxtails for lunch and spent 16$ on it, food was good, tad spicy flavor could be tasted (maybe cayanne pepper). So if you don’t like spicy food you might not like the oxtail on your flavor palate. Rice and cabbage was good. Lunch came with sprite can. All in all for this black business, it’s good I would buy again but overpriced for small food bowl. I was like this is half the size of regular circular container

My pregnant wife just left here tonight and we were excited about getting curry chicken, Mac and cheese, and cabbage (her craving). However, when we went to eat the chicken, we noticed it was pink. My wife called the place and was told by whoever answered the phone that she was lying and that, whoever answered the phone, went and checked and there was no pink chicken.

Ordered via uber eats back in June. Ordered around 3pm and didn’t receive the food till around 4pm. Ordered the curry goat with white rice and steamed vegetables, added a side of potato salad and told them to add gravy. Also ordered a side portion of baked mac & cheese…needless to say everything had arrived cold and tasted like old/reheated food (I live about a 10 minute drive; food should not have gotten cold fast). I understood the wait time and gave them the benefit of the doubt if it was to be cooked fresh or whatever but that was not the case. I had to contact the delivery person to go into the restaurant to check up on the food and only when he went inside is when the food had miraculously just finished being prepared. And after such a long wait I was left disappointed, after having checked the reviews I couldn’t understand why all the food was dry and tasteless…nothing was seasoned, rice wasn’t properly cooked, goat curry didn’t come with gravy and was dry and tasted like old meat & the mac & cheese was the blandest thing i ever tasted in my life… how do you even fail to make a proper mac & cheese? Sadly, I will not be recommending this place to anyone and will advise others to deal with at your own risk.

Ordered catering for a party. Lady that handled order seemed very unsure the two times I spoke with her. I ordered a tray peas and rice. It was dry and barely had peas in it. I also ordered a tray of BBQ Salmon. When I opened the tray there was very little pieces of Salmon in it and they were small. For the price they charged it was not worth it. The Plantins were okay. Disappointed in the service and food.

14 parish is a great place to go the food is very good, I would recommend the jerk chicken and waffles. The environment is very electric even on a lazy afternoon. The bartenders make really good drinks and very friendly staff. I would recommend getting some of their cocktails right after work. Sitting at the bar gives you a first person view of how they make their drinks and how they make it more appealing to the eyes. I didn’t have to wait long to get a seat even though they were full of people. Loved the Caribbean music playing in the background it’s a great place to meet someone or just out for a nice date. The dress attire that works here is nice casual and and in the evenings dressed up more works great. It has the feel of a upscale restaurant with a vibe that works for different age groups from 24-60. It’s in the Hyde Park area so easy to get to and their bar has nights where they are open late. Many places in Hyde Park close early and if you want a nice mixed drink your choices are limited past 11pm. This place works any night of the week and just as good in the day time.

Another place I discovered on UberEats. It’s a bit far from me but I was itching for some jerk chicken and this place knows how to make it right. Their portions are very generous. Their lunch offers are a bit smaller but it comes with a soda. I am a huge fan of their jerk chicken. I always get a large when I order and it’s enough for 2 meals. Their patties are always delicious, although they never seem to get that portion of my order correct. I’ve always gotten different patties than what I have order but they are usually to my liking so no complaints but it sucks when they forget to pack them altogether. At first, I suspect my Uber Driver could taken it since they don’t seal their bags but it’s happen too often with far too many drivers for me to suspect the drivers. The restaurant need to do better of this regard!

Worse service! I placed an order on UberEATS and there wasn’t an option to add the scotch bonnet so I called to have them add it to the order. The person (girl) who picked up said ok I’ll let your server know. When I didn’t receive it I called back to make sure they didn’t charge me for it and the girl said she didn’t put it because she couldn’t charge me for it and I mentioned the food isn’t enjoyable without the scotch bonnet and the girl said “so your entire order isn’t enjoyable without the pepper sauce, we really need to work on our food quality” and then she hung up on me. If it was a real Jamaican on the phone they would have understood and possibly added the sauce even though they couldn’t charge me for it on UberEATS. Now they’ve lost a repeat customer because of stupid sarcasm and rudeness. If I could have I would’ve returned the food and no I do not have pepper sauce because I’m at work.
