When i went to this bar, it is just the time they open, so not much people, i enjoy it. The food is good but with a bag of chip, sounds chip, I expect a French fries or bake potato and there is no a bit of salad, just 2 slice of pickle. My salad is good and big even just “half size”

Good spot right in Lake George main strip. The service was good. The food was okay – hit or miss. Bavarian pretzels were freshly baked and great flavor. The Chicken wings – particularly the BBQ Jerk and the Hot Garlic Romano wings were fantastic. The caprese sandwich was a little underwhelming, would have been much better if it was panini pressed. The fried chicken sandwich was not what I expected….it was like a huge chicken nugget fried and thrown on a bun and was a little dry.

It makes wonder why things turn out as they do. A place I always loved to frequent literally disappointed me. I ordered the Mango Habanero Chicken tacos because they ran out of catfish. Yep. Needless to say the chicken was an abomination. Dark meat aka the cheap meat used by Chinese take out spots filled the chicken tacos up. I couldn’t even finish my dinner. I don’t have the energy to deal with the nonsense. Seriously would you pay $14.99 for this slop? Question is am I going to give them a chance at redemption. Debating on it. The waitress service is phenomenal I will add as is the atmosphere. The chicken well you be the judge. I have had the shrimp in the past and I didn’t have any issues with it then. Note the word “then.” I don’t eat red meat so I can’t rate the burgers but from an observatory point of view, they looked decent. My palate left with it’s head shaking….

Had dinner with the family tonight. We were seated right away though had to ask for napkins and utensils later on. A lot of food for $93! We got the deviled egg appetizer, deluxe pulled pork sandwich, stout sandwich, double chili dogs, a kids Mac n cheese meal, a kids pb&j meal, a beer and a glass of wine. Pulled pork was on point, my stout sandwich was great, just dry bread, needed mayo or aioli or something, coleslaw was great! Fries needed salt and there were a few things on the menu that weren’t available. The deviled eggs were fantastic, real depth of flavor there. Food came fast and hot. I’d go back.

Such a cute little place! It was pretty busy when we arrived. Creative drink menu and vast local beer selections. Minimal staff & they executed service beautifully. Our server was kind and attentive as she could be with business volume!

Very chill atmosphere to hang and try local beers. The service was excellent and the food was a perfect pairing with the drinks. Very good experience with the craziness of Lake George traffic outside. Highly recommended.

I haven’t seen a ton of love for this place. And although I don’t want a bunch of road trippers taking up the (very few) tables in the small space, I can’t help but rave about 163 Taproom. The hubby and I are locals, but tend to hit up restaurants in the Village during quieter off-season moments.
