I’m from a different kinda BBQ background (Kansas City). This place completely exceeded expectations. Probably the best brisket I’ve ever had. The pulled pork in the top 10, and the sausage is incredible. I’m typically into spicier sauces but their pepper BBQ sauce is terrific!

Edit: This used to be our favourite place, but a recent experience had us go elsewhere. Unfortunately the smoked Mac and cheese recipe has radically changed, it’s now pasta in milk, and the price:quality just can’t compete with 1976. Charging by the slice of bread is steep, and the small number of pickles and onions given seems a little tight given they are a lot more expensive than a competitor that has high quality meat too. I’ll keep this at a 3 star for the nostalgia, but it’s currently in the 2-3 range such that I’d rather go to Fargo’s or Rudy’s. The ribs have improved a little bit, which is good. If their pulled pork was more ‘pulled’ that would be a big help because it is tasty. The mashed potatoes were grainy. Our guest noted that she felt a lot of sodium or MSG was used, and you certainly needed a lot of sauce to eat the meat without it sticking in your throat. I hope 1775 can return to its previous level of quality, so we can return in the future.

Currently my favorite BBQ place in the BCS area. I’ve had several great experiences there with friends. The owners are very friendly and even showed us their smoker when we took a group there. The brisket is amazing! Very tender with a nice crisp on the edges. Definitely recommend this place if you haven’t tried it yet.

I had lunch with my family at 1775 today and it was phenomenal … every single thing was “oh this is my favorite”. I cannot believe we waited so long to try this place and we’ll be back soon! We ordered the brisket, sausage, ribs, loaded mashed potatoes, corn casserole, smoked mac n cheese and beans and absolutely everything was amazing.

Very good brisket. Seasoned just right. Smoky bark, juicy and tender. Beans were good and so was the cucumber salad. Friendly and fast. Also I enjoyed eating outside on the deck. Definitely worth a try.

Stopped by after a visit to College Station and was very happy we did. Go to the far right to the trailer under cover to place your order. We went in the “back door” to the sitting area and had to work our way back to the right. I wanted to sample, so I went with the five meat sampler. They said they didn’t have any turkey which I didn’t mind. Later I thought: shouldn’t they have substituted something? I guess I got a four meat sampler for the price of a five. The ribs were VERY good and the brisket was even better. I’m not a raving pulled pork fan, but my lunch partner thought well of it. Finally, the sausage was just kicking. I don’t think you could go wrong if you liked any of those. For sides, the loaded mashed potatoes were very good, but the corn pudding was too breaded for me. I’m a raving fan of creamed corn so if you like corn pudding, it may be for you. Last on the sides was the charro/pinto beans which were EXCEPTIONAL. Loved those and could have just gone with a big bowl of that. If that weren’t enough, we grabbed a slice of the Coca Cola Cake. It was a very thick and moist sheet cake with a nice icing. But, I must be uncouth. I didn’t taste any flavor but sweet. But heck, I finished every crumb, so it was good!

AMAZING BBQ! Prime brisket was great. Sausage was good and had nice snap. We got lucky and they had pork steak on menu. Do NOT pass this up given the chance. But the star of show for me was the Duroc pork ribs! Phenomenal!!
