Truly authentic. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. Pho is hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. Friend of mine raved over their sushi. Will definitely return.

The food was great, the service friendly, the atmosphere nice, and they even gave us samples for us to try as we ate.

I’m really surprised with the one star reviews. We thought it was great! The eel roll was the best I’ve had in Tuscaloosa. We also got the pho and thought it was delicious! It wasn’t overly flavorful, but that’s because it’s meant to be customized… hence all the different sauces on the table- soy sauce, fish sauce, hoisin, chili sauce, etc. Everything was fresh, the service was quick, attentive and friendly. It’s possible that it’s taken a few days for the restaurant to get its sea legs, but if I were you, I’d definitely give it a try, in spite of the negative reviews. We will absolutely be back.

I went around lunchtime and had the Vietnamese Drip Coffee which is a MUST. Just don’t drink it too fast. I also had the Salem roll which was very good. I was pleasantly surprised at how good my meal was considering the reviews. I will go back and I do recommend this restaurant. I feel it is a nice addition to our community!

I love eating PHO so I went here to try out the new location, and was very disappointed. This place looks good but the food is not up to ones expectations especially if your expecting some good PHO or Spring Rolls. I ordered a large bowl of PHO and only received about 4 pieces if meat entirely. The point of the soup is to be able to mix the noodles and whichever meat you choose together but if you only have 4 small pieces, and your trying to make it stretch it dosent work out too well. Also the Spring Rolls were disgusting!! They were soft and the taste was awful! But the service there is great!!!

It’s good to see more restaurants like this popping up in Tuscaloosa area, but the restaurant lacks quality.

Visiting family and drove by this new restaurant. Wow! What great options their menu has to offer. The place was packed because they just opened, but my pho came quickly after ordering, very authentic and aromatic. The boba drinks were perfect. The waitress was very sweet and checked our table multiple times, and answered all the questions my family had. Wish I was there longer to try everything. Thank you!

Came in and ordered 2 appetizers (one being spring rolls) and 2 entrees, we waited 30 minutes and got nothing. Then the waitress said they were giving us a free Saban Roll due to the wait, we waited almost 15 minutes and never received that. We finally got fed up and left. I know this place just opened, but I shouldn’t be waiting over 30 minutes on a spring roll appetizer. Only thing I can come up with is maybe they were slaughtering the damn pig in the back to get the pork – what else would explain the ridiculous wait for spring rolls? We love pho, but do not plan on coming back. The owner was there (and I’m assuming aware of the situation since we were offered the Saban Roll free) and never came up to us to apologize. We will continue to drive 40 minutes to our favorite pho restaurant on 280 because apparently Tuscaloosa just can’t get it right.

The only thing I have to say about my first experience with 18 Chopsticks was that every dish I tasted was unbelievably bland. From the crab puffs appetizer, to the spicy salmon roll, to the pho. The pho broth was uncharacteristically clear, and had the taste of water. The pho noodles were broken apart into little bits , while steak pieces were clumped together and again, bland. The only reason I’m giving 18 Chopsticks 1 star is because our server was very sweet & attentive, and the restaurant has the good ice you can chew on.
