2 Southern Belles is the culmination of over five generations of expertise in the kitchen. Our great-grandfather was a baker, grandmother and great-aunt Teena and Dollie carried on the tradition. Our mother Gwendolyn, taught us and we in turn are passing it to the next generation. Our culture is Southern and Creole from The Bottom off Davis Avenue. Our sister, Maria, brought her Puerto Rican heritage and added more flavor to our lives. Although she is gone far too soon, Maria’s culture is honored along with Teena and Dollie in our daily entrees and desserts, bringing the flavors that remind you of home. We are Mobile. Our family is Mobile. Our home is The Campground and The Bottom. And our ancestors were…..2 Southern Belles.

2 Southern belles was the best southern cooking that I’ve ever had! My friend and I ordered veggie empanadas, sweet potato fries and some of the mama hash browns, and WOWSER!! We were blown away by the flavors and spices that exploded up on your taste buds! You could tell that every piece of food was made fresh with love, It hit the spot in every good way you could imagine! We will be going back sooner than later!

I could go on and on….this place is amazing! At first we weren’t sure about the prices but it is worth EVERY penny! We had the seafood gumbo, the chicken empanadas, which were filled to the max with so much flavor. They came with sweet potato fries that are to DIE for. Last but NOT LEAST the banana pudding is sooooooooooo good! A million out of 10 rating. Oh, and besides the food they have amazing service. Food made from the heart for sure!

2 Southern Belles came to our neighborhood today and I ordered a chicken gumbo, banana pudding, and peach cobbler! When my husband came home, he took one bite of mine and asked if I could run down the street to get him some too! The gumbo is delicious, and I can’t wait for them to come back to the neighborhood because there is definitely more I want to try!

Mrs. Buford’s food was amazing and it was scrumptious. I love my teachers work and creations. Everything was good from appetizers to desert. Anything you ate would be amazing coming from a food truck. Cant wait to come again!
