I did not have high expectations since I just wanted a quick bite, but this place is such a steal, especially for their black garlic lobster ramen with pork that I got! I have never gotten so much meat in ramen, the noodle were perfect, and the flavors were amazing. The tempura was very fresh and delish too.

Updated review 3/11/2022: 21 Taste House is still my favorite ramen restaurant in this part of the city. Their broth is cooked for 10+ hours and I can taste it. The things I love about 21 Taste House are: no 30 minute + wait times, food is always awesome and a fast kitchen. Tonight I had the original pork flavor tonkotsu ramen $13 and chicken karaage $6. The pork pieces were tender and very good. Egg was jelly. I did enjoy the chicken karaage. Great job everyone at 21 Taste House.

My spot when I’m suddenly craving some ramen. Tokyo style Tan Tan is my choice and they’re not afraid to stack the meat here. Big portion for a good price, 21 gets it done.

We were walking by having dropped our cat off at the ocean Avenue veterinarian and saw this little casual non-descript restaurant serving ramen. We were hungry so after looking at their posted menu decided to give it a try. We were very happy that we did.

Their ramen is so good that I wish I’ve known this restaurant earlier! Best ramen I’ve tried in SF.

Super friendly staff, and they were also very generous with the portion size. The ramen tasted amazing and the seating arrangements inside were setup nicely and more private. The music was also really nice, felt like a very early 2000s type place!

After studying with some friends at the philz, we decided to get some food together and chose this restaurant. This place was super unassuming, it honestly looked closed when we came inside. But, we were seated right away. Inside was a bit small, but each table is sectioned off with partitions. Their menu is very extensive and their ramen has a lot of options. I love that they had such different options that came with the ramen. I ended up getting B5. original lobster pork flavor tonkatsu ramen. It comes with everything you can want, soft shell crab, egg, and roasted pork. You can adjust the spice as to how you like it. I was so impressed by the flavor and generous portions. We ended up being the only ones in the whole restaurant. Because everything is partitioned, it was a bit difficult getting our server’s attention, but it was fine. I would definitely come back again.

The ramen here is among the best I’ve had, even considering my two trips to Japan. The broth is infused with rich flavor. There is a complex well prepared meats combined with different flavor of sauces. I can tell that many ingredients are slow cooked over a long period of time before coming together in the ramen. That being said, the space is a bit tight and the atmosphere could use a bit of improvement.
