My husband and I went in here for a quick weekday lunch date. He had a chicken wrap and I had coconut shrimp. Both were good. However, the green beans are what will bring me back! So good! They were fresh, garlic and seasoned well. The service was good. The gals working were working hard, not standing around at all and knew most people’s names who came in the door.

Staying in Dallas for an event this weekend, and thought the menu looked good online, so I drove over to get dinner. A very large “bouncer” guy wanted me to pay $5 (cash only!) because a band was supposed later, even though I just wanted to eat dinner and leave. I was able to talk him into letting me to order to go without paying the fee, but never in a life have I been approached to pay a fee to eat in a restaurant! Unfortunately, because I had to order to go, my sandwich was pretty soggy by the time I got back to my AirBnB, but the flavor was good, so I bet it would have been “5 stars” if I’d been able to eat it fresh!

My husband and I love, love 278 South. Have been going twice a week for 2 years. The owners are wait staff are amazing. Customer service is great, but lately the prices have gone through the roof. $14.00 or $16.00 dollars for a hamburger is insane especially that they are half the size as they were 2 years ago. If you’re wondering why business has dropped off, it’s because you’ve upped your prices and lowered the quantity of your food.

Friendly people service and patron. We had Brandy as our server and it’s a YES!!! This is gonna be our new spots. From entertainment to food. My wife had the dry country spirit and I got the ginger ale Malibu. The sweet potatoes are dangerous. Look out for them and the waffles Sunday brunch.Though it doesn’t look like it and feel like it. But it’s a nice spots and I think it’s family friendly cause we brought our 7, 12 & 13 yrs old kids there. Good people watching spot too!!!!

My wife and I tried this restaurant out for the very first time this past Sunday. The menu was limited. Didn’t know that – no big deal. We tried the mashed potato balls (loaded). For $15.00, the amount of food was about half of what I was expecting on an empty growling stomach. But were very good! We shared the chicken fingers. My wife loved them, but for me was alittle on the “fryer grease needs to be changed out soon”. Still good, just not fantastic. The service was amazing! She was kind, smiled, very helpful and attentive! That’s why this is a 4 star instead of a 3. I believe in giving establishments we’ve only tried once a 2nd chance so we will be back. This time during a normal full menu day.

Staff is great, as is the food. A bit pricey, perhaps and the music can be a bit loud for a weeknight. Lots of good entertainment throughout the week. Always something ‘off menu’ for lunch (and quote often very creative) and reduced-price dinners several nights per week.

So ill keep this short and sweet. The wings there are tasty and crispy….at least on the times I’ve been. I enjoyed the sandwiches(forgot to take pics). Also the service has been pretty good on my visits….the servers are pretty on point but can seem slow when it gets really busy. I have been for food and to hang around and have some drinks.

Horrible experience. Ordered onion ring appetizer only to be told when main course came out they haven’t been cooked yet which means the waitress more than likely forgot. Didn’t write anything down. Also ordered hamburger steak and it was a little bigger than a pinto bean. When I complained waitress informed me she just works here. Completely rushed entire dinner. DO NOT BEING YOUR MONEY HERE UNLESS YOU’RE ORDERING RUDE SERVICE AND WANT INCOMPLETE AND INEPT PRODUCT.

Love this business! Not perfect every time. Food is usually well prepared. Service here waivers from poor to excellent. If you want good food in a comfy atmosphere, give them a try. I don’t visit them for thier late night events.
