My wife and I both enjoyed an excellent dinner experience at this very cool restaurant. It is additionally in a historic building, which the decor is outstanding and very unique. Has the second floor private dining area and the first floor area is big and spacious. They also have outdoor seating for when the weather is good. I had the rib pot roast dinner and it was Superior and my wife had chicken risotto with chicken Chesapeake with crab cake and she loves hers as well. Very interesting dining experience and we absolutely will be going back again. Three thumbs up! Emma our waitress was also very good- right on point, and always double-checking to see that everything was good for us.

28 South did not disappoint. The menu has something for everyone’s taste buds. The pizza was amazing. Great flavor and tasted great. The restaurant has a great vibe. The staff & mgr. were very friendly and accommodating. If you are in Hagerstown and looking for a great dinner…stop by and give them a try.

The Old Bay Chickens were delicious and the crab cake burger was great too. However, the pizza taste like a frozen box pizza from the supermarket. No impactual flavor, just really crispy crust with meat and cheese. I will try this place again, just not for the pizza.

Atmosphere was great. Service was great, (bartender) us and our friends got appetizers before we ordered dinner and wasn’t great. Sorry but I asked to refry my calamari and I could tell they warmed it in microwave cause plate was hotter them first time. Friends appetizers weren’t great either. Bartender did take mine off bill. We ended up going downstairs to eat

Sooooo many yummy sounding food options! I will have to be back as I couldn’t order them all haha. The food here was delicious! Service was friendly, but a tad slow, bit I don’t fault them. It was a Thursday, awkward time, Covid, and seemed to be just 2 on staff, so completely understandable, and I’m sure different if was more a peak time. I got the lamb lollipops and the crab wontons, both were amazing, I was surprised how much crab was in the wontons! Like biting into a good meaty lump crab cake and not just some filler crabdip. My wife got the naked pizza and really enjoyed it, the note I sampled was very fresh tasting with strong herbs and flavors, not ur average cheese pizza for sure.

The place is really nice, a bit hard to find. Parking was easy as well. The spot is nice as said previously but the service wasn’t that well. I had a part of 8 and we waited a long time for our food. And when the food did come out it was cold. I came for Mother’s Day brunch and it could be because they were short staffed.
