Man!!!!! Let me tell you! Mike and the other gentlemen working there are the real deal. We had been on a food vacation looking for the best delis in NY and these dudes know how to make a sandwich. They also will make a killer Cuban plate for great value. The taste of the food could only be rivaled by Mikes NY charm. 5 stars. If you’re in the area you should have been on your way five minutes ago.

This place hasn’t been getting the right amount of reviews it should. I’ve been living in this neighbourhood (a block away to be exact) for the past 5.5 years and I did not know of this gem! I just got back with my heaping lunch takeout of yellow rice and beans with salmon along with a few sides for only $11! It can be easily split into 2 meals but I guess I’m starving today and finished it in 1 meal. It’s just so yummy that I can’t stop myself from finishing it. I definitely will be back for more. Gonna be trying the pollo next.

From the outside, it looks like a regular deli, which it does have that, but what is hidden is the AMAZING Cuban food. They have platters of chicken, beef, fish, etc. You can choose differs like yellow rice and beans, salad, plantains, etc. The Cuban is some of the best I’ve had. Huge portions too! I didn’t try the plantains this trip but they are on my list for next time!
