So I was craving ribs, and did some research. I figured a place with 3 locations must be doing something right! I chose San Carlos because I figured parking would be easy, it was! My experience was great from the start! We were greeted warmly and were helped by Kelly who was very helpful and welcoming! My buddy and I both ordered the half rack of ribs. My sides were deviled eggs and cornbread, he chose chili and mac and cheese. We are not shy eaters so we decided to get a couple of pieces of fried chicken too!! Also got pig candy!

Very cool spot with a great food. Simple but you will find enjoyable environment, good service and great food. They have outside sitting. The only reason for not having 5 stars is theirs short beer list. Other than that with the visit.

Wow! Finally good BBQ! My husband and I drove down from SF just to try this place cause we suddenly got a craving for BBQ. Let me tell you it was worth it! Best fried chicken and ribs I’ve had in a while! Mac and cheese, coleslaw, potato salad, and creamed corn all delicious! Did I mention their house BBQ sauce and spicy BBQ sauce had great flavor too??! Can’t wait to come back!

It’s not fair to be mean but honestly the other reviewers don’t know good bbq if they said this was extremely good. There was no Smokey flavor what so ever. Matter of factly there weren’t any seasonings and I feel like the rely on there sauces. Great meat needs no sauce it should enhance the experience. I had a feeling but was hopeful. Bay Area is missing good bar B Que. The service is great! The ambiance works! The meat on the other hand, oof! Hot dog water has more flavor! Pulled pork tacos were delicious.

They make a mean Tri-tip sandwich. Best BBQ WE’ve found in the Bay Area. Give them a shot, you won’t regret it. My wife ordered a salad once (why you would order salad at a BBQ place is a question for a different forum) and wasn’t thrilled, not bad, but not great. They specifically asked her how it was and she kind of said it was “OK.” As we were pulling away, one of the owners came out and asked if he could make something else for us on the house, and when we politely declined and assured him we would be back he told us out next meal was on them. This is the kind of small business start up that deserves everyone’s support. They truly care about their customers, and their beer selection is legit.

WOW.. You can smell the delicious smoked meat aroma of this place several blocks away. I got a 1/2 rack of ribs, tomato & cucumber salad and some Mac & cheese. The sides were ok, but the ribs are SO damn good. Definitely going back. Only 4 stars because the sides were ok, and they need a bigger beer selection.

Stop her while working , looked for fried. Chicken place on maps and this place came up, it is a pretty small place, country setting look, the Chicken ,well I can say I have had better, dont get me wrong it was good, but not great. ,the chicken it self was crispy, however, the leg portion, just didnt seemed to be well fried enough, and it was a darn large leg, abnormally large, maybe that’s why it was not tender enough, the wing was also quite big. The mac and cheese, seemed like. Typical mac ya find at a bbq place, not. Cheesy with some seasoning in the middle. It was alright, price was steep started as 12.95 on menu then went to 19. And change, dont know where 6 dollars came up. You could try if you like maybe bbq might be better.. who knows

As someone from Kansas City, I was impressed with the meat, flavor and sauces available. In addition, service was top notch. It’s a great place to swing by for a quick, casual bite.

Great place for great barbeque. We had the brisquet and smoked barbeque chicken with two sifes each. The brisquet was tender and with nice smokey, beefy flavor. the hicken was felicious. No sauces needed. as the meats could stand on their own. The sides were absolutely delicious especially the collard greens and the baked beans. Definetly worth a visit.
