A hidden, unpretentious spot with rotating menus, the restaurant consistently provides excellent dishes at an affordable price range.

Excellent good, the staff was great. The owner comes around and talks to you, and he even took our order. The dessert was soooo delicious, im still thinking about it months later.

Nice atmosphere but very empty for a Saturday night, which always gives me pause. Service was attentive but oddly unlikable. I always dislike when wait staff assumes that if a diner finishes their meal, it must have been very good, when in fact, it only means it was edible and they were hungry. The food was mediocre with a limited menu selection. The main seasoning in all three dishes I ate, was salt. No creativity there. We did have a very nice bottle of chianti, so the wine list may be worth exploring further. But I don’t plan to return. Overall, too expensive for what is going on. At $57 per person, I expect a little more. Also, a service charge for using a credit card is rude.

Excellent service and very good food. They had scallops as an appetizer in the menu, but we requested if they could prepare them as an entree and cook them with butter and garlic. They gladly obliged and served is a delicious large portion. The Caesar salad was well made with hint of lemon. The chocolate cake topped a great meal. Highly recommend

My very first visit, super great. First we found parking on the same street. It’s not congested like armory square. Then we walk in. It’s very cozy, warm atmosphere, and the lighting perfect. It’s was not to dark that I had to ask my daughter to read the menu. And not to bright that everyone can see your business. Then man that greeted us at the door, let us know about the fish market. That rolled right off of his tongue and I bought that. We had a lot of food and it was all superb. YOU CAN TELL THE STAFF IS PASSIONATE ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS. I’ve made reservations for next week. GREAT PLACE OVERALL. MY NEW BEST PLACE

Food not up to atmosphere. My husband wanted to take me and my best friend out to a nice restaurant for my birthday last night. So after much research he choose 317. We we very disappointed. The wait and kitchen staff seemed to be at odds about to actually take and place an order. The food was not even close to what’s pictured on the previous reviews. Extremely small portions, over cooked chicken, barely any dressing on the salads, scallops were almost bay scallops at a ridiculous price and to add insult to injury I got sick from them later on. My husband told them it was my birthday when he reserved the table , which they acknowledged upon our arrival, and they didn’t even present a cupcake! Never again…

So much potential! Great dining room, wonderful ambiance. But it disappointed. No bread (or butter or olive oil) even though we asked for it; no anchovies for the caesar salad (even though we asked for them); the stuffed pork chops were perfect, but were served with nothing but about three tablespoons of orzo. Would it have been too much to ask that some asparagus or other vegetable accompany the meat? There was a choice of two salads, neither of which were thrilling: a simple house salad and an even simpler caesar. How about a third option, something with cheese, nuts, and fruit? With a few improvements, this could be our favorite restaurant, as the ambiance and the location are excellent. I hope the owners take my suggestions to heart.

The owner was on site seating tables and checking in with guests. He was very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend the duck tacos and the house flatbread appetizer…the lemon zest with the truffle oil and mushrooms was a very a welcome twist from a standard flatbread. The prices were fair and the portions were generous. There is only beer or wine available so do not expect to be a able to get a cocktail with your meal. However, they have a fairly large wine list so there’s plenty to choose from.

Small, welcoming, upscale spot owned by native local couple. Great vibes, good food, what more do ya need. They went the extra mile to accommodate a large party that we had.

Went there on Mother’s Day. That was a mistake. We had a reservation and arrived on time. The food at the buffet wasn’t ready for about 20 minutes or more. The food was cold and at best mediocre. At the carving station I received the thinnest, smallest piece of meat. The buffet was $40 a person. The small mimosas were $11 each. Our total bill for 3 was nearly $200.
