Great place usually… last visit not so great, maybe just my mood? No gripes, just my expectations of phone charging cables ended! Rolling rocks went up to 2.50 a can? Versus live music at Phoenix, 3.50 a bottle of domestic beer. Monday evening was my 2 hour visit here. Familiar long employed bartender… so, high rate, lacking a star… just was deadish… I think the price increases? Miss the $1-$2 rolling rock bottle prices… maps asked me to review…. I wouldn’t had giving any review otherwise, or change of review…

I love me some good bar food, but unfortunately, this was not it. I swung in to grab a late dinner around 9:30pm, after realizing Subway down the road had closed early. The menu was small, so I decided to grab a burger. Sadly, despite the wait for my order being around 30 mins, what I was given was barely a step above one of those cheap, microwave burgers, and the tator-tots that came on the side weren’t much better.

Gave the place 2 different tries about 2 months apart. First time was a Monday night, I sat at the bar for over 10 min without getting served, and no the bar wasn’t even busy. The second time, I got a draft beer, bartender told me it was $2, I paid card (to get points) after she ran it, she told me there was $1 charge on credit cards and that is why my bill is $3. If I would have known that I would have paid cash and she would have received a bigger tip for herself.

Typical Mishawaka hole-in-the-wall dive bar. Good people, cheap beer, and a pool table. Needs to use his smoke eaters more though. If you’re a non-smoker, probably wanna skip this place, pretty thick in there, even at off peak times.

When I first got there the bartender was excellent I was greeted and I bought my drink. Then the bartender switch happened. I was there playing a dart match for a league I play on. My opponents happen to be guys and the female bartender came and checked on them three times clearing the ashtray and getting them more beers. She took my can and my teammates glass and can. I figured she just forgot about us (it happens) but when I said something we still never got our drinks. Now maybe it was a couple of factors, we don’t drink beer, we were not the bars Home team, or because we were ladies? She was totally flirting with the men. But my tipping at restaurants and bars depends on service I receive. The bar apeared clean. The restroom was clean.
