My nephew and his family introduced me to this place and took me for a Saturday breakfast. Food was really good ,made to order and worth the wait. I love the intimate environment with just a few tables and each table social with one another. Service was okay my suggestion for that is to have an experienced waitstaff that are people and service driven. This will move you ahead in the ranking of small family restaurants.

My Fiancé and I have heard so many good things about this place we had to experience it ourselves. We had a hard time pin pointing exactly where they were located bcs the plaza they are in has a little village like setting. BUT the short walk to and around their location is relaxing with lots of plants/bushes. Upon arrival we were greeted by the “Old Head” outside and asked to come in. Walking in there is a real old school vibe that makes you feel like you’re going to have an experience. All the gentlemen worked together to make sure the tables were flipped and guests were sat. Food was served piping hot . Everything was flavorful and the portions were sufficient. We had the BBQ Beef Rib and Grits and the Fried Shrimp and Grits. Both meals were accompanied by 2 eggs and a biscuit . Service was prompt, they were courteous and we felt right at home. We will be back to try their lunch/dinner menu.

Great southern style fried chicken, grits, biscuits, corn-bread waffles and more. Attentive, friendly service, calming comfortable atmosphere with great upbeat but relaxing background music. Perfect place to take a date. We will be going back soon.

The Mac anc cheese looks like it came from those Kraft boxes & tasted terrible. Biscuit has no taste or freshness. This isn’t real soul food. I couldn’t even try to finish this meal. I am very disappointed as this is a black owned business I would’ve expected better. Better off getting real soul food somewhere else. I won’t be buying from here again .

Man what a hidden gem of a restaurant this place is. Very professional and friendly staff. Portions were very nice sized and prices were excellent. I met the owner, very intelligent brother that knows how to burn in the kitchen. They have live music on certain nights, wish we could’ve attended a performance. I look forward to going back here again, menu had some great options, definitely gotta try the beef ribs and grits next time. Our food was superb, seasoned perfectly. Thanks for the great experience.

Had a few minute wait for table not too bad however it went all downhill from there. Placing our order asked for tea was advised they did not have any so we settled for two coffees. Waited 15 minutes no coffee or food while seeing other people who were seated after us being served. Older waiter was extremely unprofessional. Finally got one coffee advised younger waiter it was supposed to be 2 coffees. Got coffees no spoons not enough creamer asked for more never received it. After waiting 55 minutes with nothing to eat or drink while others around us being served. We decided to leave younger waiter asked us to wait he was going to talk to owner. He came back and said what do you want to do. You would think with this being a small establishment the owner would have come and acknowledged the situation. At that point we just left. Very poor customer service very disappointed with my experience
