Came for my 21st birthday and just moved to the area for work and this was the only upscale near the area so we gave it a try, I left a review via directly to the restaurant but haven’t heard back. I was extremely disappointed, the waiter was very friendly but not very attentive as you get bread for a starter and we had to ask 4 times and didn’t receive it till our full meal got here. We spent $200 just for two people and the food was not great, we both got a appetizer which was the oysters and shrimp cocktail which was great and fresh but we also ordered drinks that were okay and a wedge salad to spilt and that took a very long time to get to our table which the restaurant was not very busy at this time. We both ordered our meals which he got the Ribeye and Mac and cheese and I got the salmon with mashed potatoes well that was very disappointing and not good. His steak was very over cooked so he sent it back and once again it was over cooked and barely able to cut through it, my salmon had absolutely no flavor what so ever it had no seasoning and tasted bland. They forgot to bring his side so after he sent the steak back he asked for the side and once more took a long time to receive it and it was the wrong side as well as the over cooked steak again! Once again asked and they brought out the Mac a cheese which was good. The waiter then asked if we wanted a dessert for my birthday so I said yes thinking most restaurants give you something jus to be nice for birthdays or celebrations and then proceeded to charge me full price for the dessert which was extremely expensive and dissatisfied. You should not act like it’s included for a birthday if it is not. Overall I think it is extremely overpriced and food quality is not there.

Haven’t eaten here but my son is one of the chefs. The atmosphere is AMAZING and from the way my son talks about his co-workers and my experience with the head chef, they are amazing people.

The service was awkward and interupptive of our conversation. The atmosphere was not elegant for a place with a dress code. It seemed like they were trying to make you believe that they had an image but the reality was a disappointment. I felt for the 44 dollar New York strip the presentation was ridiculous, my cut was not any better than what I have had from Walmart, I really expected more. The loaded baked potato was served with terrible looking old green onions, cold bacon, and the potato was stiff and not tender, it seemed reheated from a day before. The place has poor ambiance, and the food so over priced. The mashed potatoes looked runny and the portions, considered all sides are 10 dollars extra at least, was reminiscent of the school cafeteria, in a tiny bowl. I would never ever go back and I would not recommend anyone else to go.

Great expectations. Severely disappointed. Had heard a lot about the place. Some raving, a few negative, but mostly positive. Our experience was on the negative end. It seemed like the waiter was disappointed we did not order alcoholic drinks. He asked three times before taking our dinner order 30 minutes into our seating. He didn’t ask if we had any questions but likely because when we did have one he was not at all helpful. When he finally did take orders he started with the men then the ladies. Maybe that’s old fashioned but customary at any nice restaurant. The salads were tiny and served in a bowl. The kind you’d use for morning cereal. Plating the salad would be more aesthetic and easier to eat. The steaks and fish were also tiny but now played in a large plate making them look even smaller. The sides, brocollini & scalloped potatoes & creamed spinach, were eaten in less than 4 bites. The strip steak had one side crusted with a salty seasoning with the other side bare. The filet was ordered butterflied but not prepared as requested. The fish was more of an appetizer size than a meal. The desserts, however, were the only item served of any acceptable size, maybe even too sized. Easily sharable. Texas Roadhouse has a better meal. Anthony’s in West Point looks like a hole-in-the-wall but has far superior steaks and better priced. Again, great expectations. Seriously disappointed.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Starkville! Prime steaks were delicious! Bread was to die for. Salads awesome! Only small thing was the au gratin potatoes were too cheesy but had great flavor. Overall, this place is outstanding. Recommended!

Service and atmosphere were great. I should have ordered the prime ribeye as the Welcome Home beef ribeye was a bit grizzly. The $27 lobster mac-n-cheese tasted only of bacon. Not sure I even found any lobster. Overall, it was a pleasant evening out with friends.

Steak was mediocre. Ordered medium rare, the steak came out medium. Brussel spouts and mashed potatoes were spot on. The sides out shined the main course. Not really worth the price ($542 for 4 people) there are better options. Extremely loud atmosphere.

I really struggled with this review. The filet with truffle butter was absolutely amazing and the service was impeccable but….within 4 minutes of arriving our waiter had to remove a roach from the wall next to me, then my salad had to be replaced because of a hair in it, and both sides of potatoes au gratin were so undercooked they were crunchy. $490 later there was no apology, no discount, no can we get you anything else to make the experience even better. Definitely disappointed.
