We were supposed to be here for a party but I confused the times so we just decided to eat ourselves.

Brought our relatives from out of state to have some authentic Juicy Lucy burgers. We all raved about how good they were! Fries were nice and crisp on the outside and tender inside. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. Would give this place 10 stars if I could!

This was recommended by a friend of mine in Wisconsin. He said I had to try the Juicy Lucy. So I struck out from my hotel near the airport and dug in to one of the best burgers I’ve ever ate. I had the roadhouse Juicy Lucy and it did not disappoint. And for a little extra the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow blue dipping sauce was just like dessert. Almost a play on Thanksgiving sweet potatoes. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that has a little time to kill or wants a great local spot for an iconic Burger.

Whenever I’m in town, this restaurant is a must! As we were on our road trip through the Midwest, we stopped by the 5-8 for their wonderful Juicy Lucy. We started with the cheese curds, so close to Wisconsin how can you go wrong? They’re outstanding here. We also upgraded to jojos from fries, which I also recommend doing. Jojos are potato wedges that are so good! The only downside to this visit was the 2 tables behind us with kids jumping all over the place and yelling the time. It’s a one off, but ruined the experience.

Was very good. I had not been there in several years. Was much cleaner than expected. Juicy Lucy and fries about $12.99. I did see huge portions of food wings, nachos etc. tv’s all over set to sports, beer selection seemed fine.

First time eating a Juicy Lucy and you know we had to go to the home of the original. The cheese on the inside of the burger is a nice touch. The place was packed and we didn’t have to wait that long. They have a solid tap line up. I bet they serve up a lot of burgers each day. Maybe next time I go back I’ll try the PB & J burger.

I have to change my review. We went back on Sunday, July 9th, at around 3:30 pm. The hostess was so incredibly rude. We were going to get sat at a dirty table and asked to be seated at a high top in the bar, and she gave us the menus and pointed and said, “There you go.” The table was also filthy, and there was hardly anyone there, so there’s no excuse not to have clean tables. Now, to make matters worse, both of our jucys weren’t cooked all the way. There was no multen cheese in the center. It was cool and not jucy at all. I got the wrong, Jucy. I got attitude when I asked if it was the pb &j.

A Twin Cities Classic. Definitely a “must go” spot if you’re in the Twin Cities (visiting or long-term).

WHELP!!! This is the spot for the Juicy Lucy! Came here after a debate about which restaurant had the best Juicy Lucy, and I must say I made the right choice. I ordered the original and was blown away. Flavorful, hot, and the portions was worth the price. While I was here, I found two surprises. The first was the PB&J wings…. what in the actual hell! Why was I just tasting these! (I don’t live in Minnesota, so that probably explains it! Lol) The wings were fried to perfection, and the PB&J sauce finished the job! Next, was the marshmallow sauce for the sweet potato fries… I don’t know what evil genius they have masquerading as a cook in the back, let’s keep them there! When I’m back in town again, this is my first stop! ** Pig Pen Egg rolls were okay.. probably didn’t give them a fair shot after having those other bites to eat! Lol
