First of all, the young man who waited on us was very polite, friendly and efficient. So, a great start to the meal. I thought the food might not be that great, especially as a vegetarian, but the veggie burger and battered onion rings were really good. It was not busy when we arrived at 4 PM. We decided on a quart of mint chip frozen custard for our RV freezer and got one scoop of butter pecan for me and two scoops of turtle sundae for my husband and took those back to the RV to eat. The butter pecan was the best butter pecan (ice cream or custard) I’ve ever had so I couldn’t resist going back in for a quart of it to add to the freezer too! We would definitely stop here again.

Wish I could give them six stars! This restaurant, and the entire staff is “off the charts” GOOD! Traveling from Missouri to Arizona on vacation, this was the most logical Harvest Host location to spend our first night. To my delight, Marvin, the owner was there, along with his friendly staff. The food, made to order, was absolutely delicious, hot, and served with a smile. When Marvin told me that his frozen custard was better than “Andy’s” in Springfield, MO, he wasn’t kidding. It was simply the best. We decided to explore Elk City OK the next day, and it is a gem also, particularly their Route 66 Museum. Will now be on our radar for future trips out West.

Came in right at opening and had a terrific lunch! Everything is made fresh and the folks are really friendly. The best part, though, is the frozen custard. Best in Oklahoma!

As I walk through here I thought the place was very clean. The young man at the counter was very friendly and courteous. Although the price was a little high but what do you expect these days. The kids love the food car trays. My wife and I ordered the burgers which were excellent. The pattie was a little pink for me but all good. It did taste like high quality meat. Was not busy at all. Our food came out quick. My daughter dropped her corn dog on the floor and they replaced it free of charge. We will be looking forward to coming back.

This place is newer looking and has a strong “chain” vibe to it and not much character that relates to “Route 66” We had a burger which my wife liked and a chicken sandwich which was definitely not worth the $7 price. We ordered a side of “cheese squeakers” for $5. It was basically 15 small and medium pieces of battered and deep fried mozzarella cheese. They offer no military discount. The frozen custard WAS very good which is what they are known for. I can’t recommend the food based on our experience but definitely would recommend the custard.

We were traveling on I-40 and this was a good lunch break. There was fantastic and friendly service and food was tasty. They have the cutest kids meals in little cars, vans, pirate ships, etc. The butter pecan frozen custard is delicious! Also, there is a gas station just next door if you are passing through like we were and need to fill up.

After travelling all day, I was looking for my comfort food, a burger and a shake. The staff was friendly and even offered a taste of their frozen custard before I ordered. The chocolate custard was to die for and I love a shake with fries. The food was quickly prepared and brought to our table. The fries were skinny and tasty— like Steak-and -Shake fries back home, and the burger was fresh and juicy— the kind you need several napkins to eat. And dis I mention the grilled onions? What could be better. The little car boxes that decorated the window sill were so cute. Sorry there are no pics of the food— I was hungry and ate it too fast! I travel this road several times a year, and I’ll be back.

Great spot right off the business route of I-40 in Elk City with delicious frozen custard (just call it ice cream if you don’t know what that is), burgers, fish and chips, fries, fountain drinks etc. The pulled pork and coleslaw is okay, but both could be less swimming in the sauces. The cod is perfectly cooked and delicious when hot. The shoestring fries are also perfectly done. There are so many choices of frozen custard – both of the ones that we had were great.
