I came up from Florida for a visit, and my boyfriend took me here for a fine dining experience. Our server Matthew was attentive and service was on point. We started with a half dozen Little Neck clams, very fresh and tasty. We also had the Shinnauck Steamed clams in a savory garbanzo bean, carrots, spinach, “soup” that was so delicious! I could have tipped the bowl and drank it all! For our entrees… he had the crab stuffed flounder, which came with a spiral of mashed potatoes which made a beautiful presentation! It was delicious! I had the 1 1/4 lb Maine Lobster, served with baked potatoes and the house vegetables. My lobster was fresh and delicious. The only down side was my baked potato was a little underbaked, and my boyfriend’s dish could have been warmer. I gather this was because it was very busy. All in all, it was a pleasure dining here.

Horrible experience. Just left the restaurant and we were there since 7. After 1 hrs 45 minutes we finally got a shrimp cocktail and the kids pasta. Took another 40 minutes after we were told they were plating ours next. Then we get 2 meals and another 10 minutes for the rest. It was my birthday meal and we decided to not even get dessert since we were afraid that would take another hour. After all that, they didn’t offer anything to make up for the terrible service. Do yourself a favor and pick a different restaurant.

Awful wait and in spite of waiting 2 hours for the food they charged us another $2.95 for an additional Pepsi refill. This place is going to be out of business at the end of the summer if they keep treating people like this. The wait staff is nice but the manager is lost and since it changed hands, it’s turned out to be a disaster. I really can’t figure out what happened to this place because I used to go here all the time and it was very friendly but since it changed names from the back bar, it just isn’t the same and it’s too bad. I hope they turn the place around because I really don’t like authoring negative reviews . But for now go to Phil’s on the North Shore

We made a reservation for 7PM. When we turned up, the place was packed, so we were directed to the bar, where we grabbed a drink. The menu looked lovely and the views over the bay were great, but 45 minutes later we still hadn’t been seated. We were with our 18-month-old daughter so asked the waitress how much longer she thought it would be. She explained that we should be seated soon but that it would probably take a while for the food to come after we’d ordered, since the kitchen was backed up. We left at 8PM with empty stomachs and went back to our hotel to order takeout from another place. The drinks at the bar were nice and the staff were lovely, but it was a disappointing experience for the last night of our vacation.

Food was fresh and very well done. I had the tuna and it was great. Restaurant is attached to a fish market so seafood is a big plus here. Service was attentive and cheerful. Pleasant dining room. We found a new spot in Hampton Bays which isn’t an easy thing to do!
