We had 808 Local Hawaiian Grill cater our summer party and the food was a hit! We ordered trays of the chicken katsu, char siu pork, and beef ribs. First off, the food was ready exactly when we had requested to pick up, which was very nice because we have had problems with OTHER places forgetting and not having food ready when we needed it – so an extra big thank you to 808 Local Hawaii Grill for actually having everything ready to go and helping load it into my car!

This place is the best Hawaiian food ever. Everyone like go to ono or l and l. But brah this is the closest authentic Hawaiian food you can get here in the oc. So good their Mac salad to their fresh poke. Their bbq is also made fresh it’s so worth the wait and drive to be here. The owner is really nice and so is the staff. If you are ever in the area don’t hesitate to visit

Finally found a real “Hawaiian food” place!! Kal bi was just like being back in Hawaii. Chicken katsu and bbq plate was Ono. Kalua pork amd cabbage was amazing. Only the teriyaki pork was a let down BUT those bbq ribs made up for it. Hawaiian poke was also great just a bit pricey per at$28 per lbs. Probably try the other locations too. Parking is a bit rough. Should call in your order.

I was in the area and was looking for good local grub. I found this place with 5 stars. Unfortunately, it failed me. I ordered the chicken katsu plate with rice, mac salad, and spinach salad. I enjoyed the spinach and mac salads. Spinach had a yummy teriyaki like dressing, not too rich. The mac salad had a sugar kick to it. It was good. However, the katsu not as appetizing. It was covered in a sauce with extra sodium, super salty. It took away from the katsu crunch and taste. Made the katsu soggy, not crunchy. They could do away with that awful sauce or place it on the side. Below par. The presentation was good, but as you know most “Hawaiian” places give lots of food. This was not the case. I enjoy Aloha Hawaiian BBQ, flavorful, and this is nothing like that. Disappointing for a place claiming to be local Hawaiian grub.
