Just moved to Livermore and decided to try it out with my boyfriend. The food was hot, delicious, and fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ambiance is a home kitchen feel, the booths are comfortable. 10/10 would recommend for a yummy bite to eat. As you can see we ate all/most of our food!

The Railroad Cafe has been given a complete renovation, with brick facing on every possible surface. It’s more effective in person than it looks in the pictures, and there are lots of fun details like a cork map of the United States. Highlights are the beer selection and the seafood sandwich, a pleasing blend of multiple types of fish and shellfish. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, which is a bit odd given the bar-like decor. I’ll be back.

I ordered Waffle and Tuna Sandwich. I think the Tuna sandwich made me sick. A few mins after eating it, I had to rush to the bathroom to poop. I thought it might be something else. But I took the leftover sandwich home and ate it later at night and my stomach hurt again.

Great local Livermore place for breakfast and lunch. Not sure if they’re serving dinner here but I just love this place.

The food taste bad the salsa from the chilaquiles tasted like salsa out of a can. And the water tasted like it was from the sink . The eggs were bad and the bacon was overcooked.

My husband loves the southern scrambled and I like the chilaquiles, And also we’ve been going there for a little while and they make you feel well-known

Ordered scrambled eggs got eggs cooked like an omolette and cut in small strips instead. Other than that I enjoyed my meal. French Toast was good and filling. The ham was ham (and thus good) but not particularly noteworthy. I will say however they did not skimp on the portions. I was full and then some. I’m of the quantity over quality school of breakfast thought so this place scores big in my eyes. The decor was also fun. Would come again for the decor alone.

I have been there before and it was fine. Not great, but fine. This time? Wilted salad with a bug in it. I couldn’t eat it. Cheese steak was inedible, due to gristle. I returned it. They couldn’t make me a new one because it’s pre sliced. Ok… the burger to replaced it with was decent. But the 2 Inches thick of iceberg lettuce was just the spines. None of the leaf. I would have told the server, but, he never checked back. I was done with the prospect of complaining.

I don’t like posting bad reviews but this was a terrible experience. We were ignored when we walked in and others were sat before us. We ordered our food and all the breakfast plates came out cold and missing the potatoes and toast. We asked the owner about it and she blamed everything on the waiter. She didn’t offer to bring the sides after we asked. She comped our drinks. She went to comp them and we watched her walk to the register and print it herself. She gave us a ticket that double charged us for the items with missing side dishes. Brought it to her attention and she actually blamed the waiter. That above all made us the most angry. It wasn’t his fault. Nor was the missing food. The food we did get was awful. Again not his fault. So we paid full price for breakfast platters that nobody ate and were missing the “included” side dishes. We called the waiter over and gave him a cash tip and told him she was going to talk to him about being properly trained so we made it clear to him that he did a great job and our complaint wasn’t about him. Paying all that money…about $90.00 for cold, inedible, partial orders of food was difficult to to. The owner needs to go to training herself and stop blaming the waitstaff and ripping customers off by not serving them what’s listed on the menu. We will never go back.
