Last minute reservation as we were ravenous! Very friendly host, great food options, very good wine list (don’t bring your own). The artichoke soup and the cold avocado soup were excellent. My salmon,was cooked to perfection. Husband greatly enjoyed his lobster pasta. Only regret is we didn’t try the strawberry cheesecake desert. Will definitely spend more time here.

The Octopus is the best we have ever had, such a pleasant time. Dinner was delicious. I have never had such a yummy potato before. Also, the cheesecake! The lemons! Thank you for providing such excellet service while also being super sweet humans.

Like having private chefs prepare a perfect dining experience in a rented house on the south of France. Food was flavorful, interesting, and beautifully plated with staff that treated us like family. Get this – when the owner saw I was chilly, he not only brought out “minestronesque soup” but also a cozy blanket! Definitely my new fave spot.

What a gem! Incredible, creative flavors abound, but the wine list is also spectacular. The owners are also deeply involved in the daily operation and have fun, lively discussions with the guests. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so welcome at a restaurant before. I’m not sure why I was unaware of Bistro Viz for so long, but it’s now my local favorite in Marin!

I had high hopes for this restaurant, they were the new kid on the block and I wanted to give it a try and I was sadly disappointed. I had the flat iron steak which was chewy, and downright disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone but if you would like to try it I wouldn’t stop you. Decent medium quality restaurant.

Amazing experience! The only thing better than the service was the food. Quite possibly the best fish tacos we have ever had (and the garlic noodles were out of this world). The owner/chef and her partner were also incredibly hospitable/friendly. This needs to be your next date night!
