The food blew me away. Some of the best sushi I have ever had. Andy was extremely personable and fun. An amazing experience that I definitely recommend trying!

Wonderful food and Andy is so kind! Personable experience if you sit in at their little sushi bar to eat but can see myself going back for takeout and such.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I enjoy Kaiseki SO much that I’m compelled to write one. I’ve had a fair share of sushi, and this place is hands down my favorite place in Philly. The quality is superb. I usually get the chirashi or tuna-salmon don and they’re well balanced and thoughtfully curated. The price is super reasonable for the quality. This place is the real deal and a hidden gem in Philly!

Absolutely mind-blowing chirashi and sashimi. The fish is the freshest I’ve tasted at any takeout sushi place it Philly! And I used to believe that high-quality sushi & sashimi in Philadelphia doesn’t exist, except for omakase, but I was so wrong! The fish is cut perfectly, and the dishes really focus on the natural flavors of the fish and it’s different cuts, unlike most sushi places where you get food and it’s drowned in mayo and sauce. We’ll be back times and over again.

My vegan volcano was superb and special — and even the ginger was extraordinarily delicious. The rest of my friends enjoyed the non vegetarian items immmensely. Everyone commented how superior the food was compared to most places . We will definitely be back!

Kaiseki is easily the best sushi that I’ve had in Philadelphia. The chirashi bowl was well-balanced and included an excellent variety of sashimi. The highlights were the sake-braised octopus and the scallops. The rolls were creative and bright. The seafood in each dish was exceptionally fresh.

I first heard about Kaiseki in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Since then I have been hooked! Unlike most sushi restaurants, this is the naturalist and most authentic sushi take-out experience you can have. Kaiseki uses fresh cuts of fish and in-house pickles over sauce-drenched sushi. The in-house pickles is a must get, it refreshes your mouth and brings out deep flavors of the fish every bite. My go-to order is the Chirashi bowl, a layer of rice, and a bed of fresh thick-cut sashimi on top. I live 45 minutes away from Philadelphia, and every time I go, I always make sure to stop by Kaiseki.

Such a hidden gem in the neighborhood! I ordered the anniversary bowl and the otoro roll. The fish was fresh and portions were also big. The shop owner is very sweet and kind, I would definitely be back.

I got this anniversary. Do not eat anything with uni or “caviar” here. Their “caviar” isn’t actual caviar. It’s black food colored eggs. Uni is so bad it tastes like food poisoning. They add some random stuffs so make it into a bowl, but the only things that are edible are rice, salmon, tuna belly, and tuna, and they’re not too terrible which is why I added one star.
