I’ve been quarantining and decided I am going to go and have a taco today but didn’t really want to go to taco Bell and stay away from the big chains. So I remember taco bus by Shell gas station and decided to go in and check them out. I got the grilled chicken on the three different types of taco shells. I could only eat two, as they were not lacking in toppings!! Very delicious and will definitely be back!! $6 taco Tuesday!

As I was looking at the menu I seen roaches Crawling on the prep area as well as food area. I hesitated to ordered but proceeded anyways the lady that took my order was very rude and was out of almost everything I asked for. So I got basic tacos. I then wanted salsa from the dispensers as I pumped the dispenser a roach fell from the top and on to counter, not to mention there was no salsa in the containers so I lifted the top to see why it wasn’t pumping and the inside of the container was moldy. I then asked for a refund and the Asian lady said no refunds all sales are final.

Staff is friendly enough for the back of a gas station. The food is wonderful! Love the Taco Bus menu. 3 tacos for $6 on Tuesday is a pretty good deal too. Will definitely come here again.

Limited menu (staff had available items circled on a fold out menu, tv menus were turned off), when I asked for Horchata I was told, “I tasted it yesterday and it was still good so it should be fine.” Two tacos were purchased and when I tasted how under cooked and under seasoned they were, two tacos were thrown out.

Within two months, this Taco Bus has been declining in the quality of food and customer service. New people have been hired and unfortunately they are not great employees. This was my go-to Taco Bus but it seems like another location that fails to meet basic expectations. The employees always get my order completely wrong. I have no idea what was in my last burrito but it looked vile. I can no long support this franchise for the sake of my own health.

My whole order was incorrect. I called to see if anything could be done. The employee (Christina) was incredibly rude and told me there was “literally nothing” she could do for me. They were out of chips and never notified me to let me know of the out of stock product. I asked for a manager and was told to call in the morning. I called in the morning but the manager wasn’t there so I left my info. Nobody contacted me so I had to contact them once again. I finally got the manager (Faye?) on the phone only to be disappointed once again. She was not apologetic and could not offer me a solution. I will NEVER give my money to this Taco Bus ever again. Save yourself the headache and loss of money.

Today I ordered on Uber eats an el jefe burrito for my fiancée with no onions because he is allergic, 2 beef empanadas and my torta as a meal. I received one empanada that was CHICKEN. And he got onions and pico on his burrito. So I called and the employee wanted to argue and say he didn’t see it and he didn’t know but didn’t even want to offer to remake it. I took it all to the store and had my fiancée go in. The employee told him they won’t remake it, offer credit or refund even though almost the whole order was incorrect and I didn’t receive my full order. I am disgusted better yet he threw a phone towards my boyfriend and was disgustingly rude. We love taco bus and go to the one in 54 and down off Hillsborough with no issues. I am officially turned off from taco bus.

The old guy in the glasses is awesome. Made the best chimichanga I ever had, and rolls up burritos and chimichangas effortlessly, the cash register worker was also very nice and helpful figuring out the menu. I will be going back especially now that they both told me about Taco Tuesday!

I have tried this place twice—never again! Both times the food was slapped together lazily, and the food made me gag. My taco was soaking in some salty yellow liquid that I didn’t ask for and I had to throw both away. I ordered grilled chicken so I assumed it was going to be grilled chicken, not chicken in a salty vomit/bile sauce. Also the website says the chips and salsa made daily…maybe this was a batch made a year ago because the chips tasted stale and like chemicals, almost like chlorine. I can tell whoever made my food has no desire to work in this restaurant. A zoo animal let loose in a kitchen for an hour come could come up with something tastier.
