We tried The Shop first time. The patio and ambience are very nice. Service was good however food came out after quite a long wait which is strange because it was a slow Monday evening. The bruschetta was really good. The deep dish pizza was tasty but a bit too heavy the crust seemed like fried it was at least quite greasy and crisp. It was a good experience overall and worth a visit especially for a relaxing patio atmosphere to eat in.

This review is based on their drinks only. I read the reviews on this place so I decided to go there for the drinks. I ordered a paloma and it wasn’t great but they were fine with me switching my drink to a gold margarita which is there best drink on the menu. Does this place have the best cocktails? In my opinion it doesn’t and a lil over priced. But the staff was very kind and helpful. I believe they are fairly new. I might need to come back for the food.

The food is great but if you’re seated inside the sound volume is very high because sound is bouncing off the walls because they are bare brick walls. Service was too good. We were asked if “everything is good” what felt once a minute while trying to eat and everything WAS good but being asked if it was, that often, was too much.

Update review: We came here to try their thin crust!!! It is so good as well, I don’t know how they can hold so heavy toppings and keep juicy so well on such thin crispy crust. It is real delicious. But I’ll say if I choose, I will stay with deep dish, because their deep dish is probably the best so far in San Diego. I love their corn meal crust. We tried their arugula & beet salad, they are yummy! I love. Plus their Sunday has $5 sangria all day! What a deal. You can’t miss it.

Finished up a short hike on Lake Hodges Pedestrian Bridge and wanted to get some food after. We typed “Pizza” into Google Maps and this place popped up. The experience matched the photos; a really cool place to eat.

Fun place to gather with friends. The menu had a number of options (loved the fact they had vegan cheese and gluten free dough for their pizzas). The drink menu is also extensive and varied. I had the Lady in Satin (loved it) and the rest of the table enjoyed Unknown Pleasure, sangria, jalepeno margarita and margarita. The atmosphere is fun and the staff were both attentive and helpful.

Pizza was very good, not top 10, but enjoyable. Quality toppings, and well cooked. We had a really attentive and nice server. They had a couple of excellent cocktails and we enjoyed dining outside. Didn’t love the crust, just not my style, but it isn’t bad.
