Rok N Fondue Menu – Redlands, CA

Type : Steak house

Location : Redlands, CA

ROCK COOKING – Our volcanic rocks are kept in specialized ovens for hours, resulting in exceptionally hot rocks that denaturize the proteins of the meat. This (along with marinades, fat content, and brining) is what gives the meat its unique flavors and makes it safe to eat. No butter. No oil.
FONDUE – We offer indulgent cheeses made fresh at the table and served with traditional dippers; distinct blends of herbs, spices, wines, or oils which form a brilliant broth that’s excellent for cooking seafood, poultry, and vegetables; and sweet combinations of melted, rich, Belgium chocolates.

Rustic-chic establishment serving steaks & fondue, plus craft beers & cocktails in an airy interior. Based on 705 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.3 stars. Price $$$

Great spot on State Street. We showed up about 20 minutes early for a reservation, place wasn’t super crowded but still had to wait (likely short staffed) – but the area is nice to walk around so the 20 minutes passed easily. Lots of drink options and are they were great. We ordered a cheese fondue and by the time we were finishing that our Fondue Feast came out. The timing between food dishes was great so we didn’t get “full on the appetizers” and able to finish our dinner. The feast fed 2 of us perfectly.

My family and I came here for a quick bite. This place is more of sit down and enjoy your meal spot, but we where on a time crunch. Regardless the service here is excellent, the waiters know their menu. Our waiter helped us choose our appetizers. The Rok•N•Chedder Fondue, the Ahi Tuna Tartare, and Bruschetta. All tasted very delicious. Although we did not get full entrees, the food looked plus smelled amazing. We are looking forward to coming back for the full sit down experience.

Great ambiance and food. Steak on a stone was excellent as was the shrimp and scallops. Appetizer was cheese found us with bacon jalapeños. Fun dipping bread, chips and fruit. Noisy and busy areas. We sat upstairs. A bit smoky in some areas but smelled great. Living music was a plus and nice long bar.

First time here nice ambiance. Service was great. Our table was to small and we were seated next to the kitchen even with a reservation. All in all we will return the food was delicious. The red moon cocktail was awesome and the BlackBerry Mai Tai was great.

Very very slow service, uncomfortable chairs, definitely understaffed. Half of our group was served, ate, finished, then we waited another 20 minutes for the other half to even get their food. Took almost 3 hours for a party of 5 and it wasn’t busy at all. Also had a mandatory 20% tip, which was ridiculous given we weren’t going to leave a tip. Total came out to $200+ for a terrible experience. Do not recommend.

We went to Rok N Fondue for my daughter’s birthday. We started with the sun-dried formaggio cheese fondue as an appetizer and it was great. We had the fondue feast and surf and turf. Both entrees combined were not very filling but it was good. The downer was the service. Our waitress rarely checked on us. When we would ask for something it took what seemed to be too long for what was asked for. We went during mid week so it wasn’t busy. It was our first time eating here. It was fun and something different to do for dinner. If you try it, I hope your service is better than ours was.

Holly Molly this dinner left me wanting to come back right away. I have been bragging about the amazing cocktails, fondue and lamb chop dinner! They had live music which was pleasant, even in the small restaurant space.

It was an amazing experience. The food was great and fun. The space is a little tight, good for an intimate couple, but the atmosphere is worth it. The location is very is on a very artsy part of town, between “umbrella alley” and Ed Hale park, great place for a milestone date or anniversary. Our server was great but things did take some time, so our patience was appreciated, luckily live music kept us occupied.

The service was fantastic. This is not a knock on that at all. Our waiter was attentive and was great at explaining the menu. I’m glad we had the experience; however, it’s one of those restaurants where you spend a lot of money and leave hungry. The cheese fondue, duck, fondue feast, and chocolate fondue were good but the portion sizes are small. We joked about filling up on water. Wouldn’t come here for dinner again but maybe for a cocktail and an appetizer as the drinks were very good!
