Stopped here at 1 pm on a Friday during a road trip since it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and had a warm, welcoming smile. The food was soooooo good, we already made plans to stop in during our next drive down south.

We enjoyed our dinner at Bauer’s. The garlic burger was great as was the peach cobbler. Not the quickest service but we were not in a hurry. The only reason they got a low rating was when I looked at the bill, I about died when I saw the charge $17 for a well cocktail! I didn’t pay that much in the resorts in Hawaii. Hope they are not planning on developing a bar business!

Exquisite brunch menu; excellent food, vibes, bottomless mimosas and patio dining! Our first visit and certainly not our last. We were Out riding bikes on a Sunday afternoon with friends when we ran into this treasure in our hometown My lox plate was perfect, the Monte Cristo was Amazing, and the two chef specials were intriguing and delightful to say the least. From presentation to service and great vibes this place is an all around Hit!

Food is good but very slow service. Went there for lunch yesterday and we waited an hour for our food. All I ordered was a salad. There were only two other tables with people. Most people on their lunch break don’t have 90 minutes to burn. I won’t be back.

First time in staying in Modesto. After checking Google for different restaurants I realized that their downtown core had a ton. This place stood out for the creativity in their recipes. I got there and was greeted cheerfully by a freshly opened staff, I ordered the CLTA, chicken lettuce tomato avocado. I noticed on one of their other southern dishes that they had a Carolina mustard slaw. They made a special for me with the CLTA add the Carolina slaw, off the freaking hook. I will definitely be back the staff unfortunately whose names I cannot remember were amazing. Cool vibe decent prices great food.

We had the vinha d’ ahlos Portuguese wings – hot, Pao de queijo popovers and El Chicharron burger. The burger was the star of the meal. The quality and preparation of the meat shone thru all of the ingredients into a well balanced and constructed burger. I appreciate the eclectic menu and tap list in a place that is frankly unassuming from the outside. It is one of the most notable places we have been to since moving to California.
