Some of the tastiest dishes I’ve had in a while. Great service, genuinely friendly.

5 stars for food, service, and price. Two of us came by on a Saturday at 12:30pm to a pretty empty dining room (possibly due to the restaurant being right next to the famous San Tung’s). We chose our table, and the server brought out menus and water (and was kind enough to bring us warm water when we asked). The menu is vegetarian friendly, and they even have gluten free naan. We ordered:

Ordered veggie momos , samosa, veggie korma, and garlic naan. It was really really good! Naan was very light and fluffy inside and the momos were so delicious. Minus one star for the weird tasting water and slightly slow service even though the restaurant was mostly empty.

What a good experience there. 4.9 review was truly worth it. As a Nepalese guy and tired so many Nepali restaurants in US, different atmosphere and good food. Highly recommend. Will be back for sure.

Super disappointed with my first time trying this place. It had excellent reviews, so I was excited, but the food was unfortunately really bad. I ordered the chicken chili momo and the braised lamb shank. I couldn’t decide between the classic momo and the chili one, which the server informed me was fried. It is fried and then slathered in spicy ketchup. Ew!! I wish I had ordered the steamed one. The braised lamb shank took super long to make (other tables got food and left before we got ours) and it tasted super tough. Instead of braising it (slow cooking), it tasted like they just boiled it and served it. We had to cut it off the bone with a knife and it was super difficult. It should have fallen off the bone. The cook seemed apologetic that the meal took a long time. So unfortunate because I like Nepalese food and was hoping this spot would be good.

No need for reservations. Walk ins welcome. We went in afternoon on a Saturday, had no problem getting a table. Food was good but the star was the appetizer which was samosa chaat. I’ve only ever had samosas which are good but this plate put it on a whole other level! Must try if you come here and like tasting new delicious foods.

It’s a good restaurant but I had better food and service at other Nepalese restaurants in San Francisco. The food is not bad but not the best. The service is a little slow but nothing that hampers the experience as a whole. Definitely recommend trying it.
