We were in Lowell and decided to stop by this place. I was little spectacle but they surprised me with great service and food. I tried both Veggie and Non Vegetarian options (see pics) and they both were great. The portion was good. Advice: the parking on weekends is bit tight and towns parking machines are broken so try paying it online on town’s website. PS: No Free Parking!!

We stopped by to El Jafe to grab some lunch. Tried both vegetarian and non vegetarian options and was surprised with the taste and flavors. The service was great and the portions were great. There is only paid street parking unless you plan weekends. The parking meters are broken but can be paid online on town’s website. Overall, great service and food. Highly recommend it. PS: they have both outside and inside seating options.

The outdoor seating was nice, but we had to wait forever for anyone to take our order. My dinner, enchiladas chipotle, was okay but I really loved the horchata. The bar area got to be very lively with music and dancing.

I ordered the pupusas and the sweet plantains. I gave it a three because it’s kind of hard to find anywhere else that makes pupusas in Lowell so that’s a plus. The pupusas were normal size and tasted great, but I’m VERY DISAPPOINTED in the overpriced sweet plantains. Everyone knows plantains are CHEAP. They usually cost 3/$1 or 2/$.89 at the grocery store so for a restaurant buying bulk I’m sure it’s even cheaper. If you go to ANY Spanish bodega you get about 10-15 fried plantains or tostones for about $5 or less so the fact they sold me less than one whole actual plantain worth is a ripoff lol. They did taste good but overpriced.

Food was good nicely hot and fresh, area was nicely decorated, outdoor and indoor is nice but overall the waiting time for drinks, appetizers, food and in between check ups was awful if it wasn’t for a guy name Jonathan that saw us waiting and came over to check on us we would of waited even longer. Thank you Jonathan you deserve 5 stars but not the actual server . The waiting part sucked this time.

The food is good, but the service is so slow every time. We’ve gone there to eat a few times, and I’ve gone to pick up deliveries several times. There may be good reasons for the slowness, but there’s no excuse for not keeping delivery drivers informed.

I had a surprise engagement party here 7/3/23 and it went horribly wrong start to finish. There was a group of 13 total. We had a reservation and table we requested was not available. Then we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated EVEN with a reservation. The restaurant was not busy at all so I am not sure what the wait was for. When I arrived everyone was seated. They told me they were waiting for drinks for 45 minutes before I got there. No one came over to ask me or my fiancé if we wanted a drink or an app until we waved them down. We ordered apps and drinks and they never came out. I didn’t see the bill because the group treated me and my fiancé but $400 seems extremely high for 1 round of drinks and 1 round of shots in 3 hours. I am assuming we were charged for apps ordered that never came out and possibly drinks too. No one even asked if we wanted to order food. The staff was young, inexperienced and did not care to make the experience better. We will not be returning and suggest you don’t go either.

We went there for dinner and had a very poor experience. Wanted to love it but the service and communication was very poor. We were sat outside, given menus and waters and after about 30 minutes of waiting no one came over to take our order. We noticed other people that were sat after us had started receiving drinks/apps so we found an employee and told them what was going on. They said someone would be right over. We waited another 15 minutes and found another employee who stated someone would be over shortly. The host came over and apologized and said someone would be right over. Again 10+ minutes go by without anyone, so we went to the bar to state what was going on. Finally another waitress who said she wasn’t supposed to be taking our order came and took our order. However, the other people who had been seated after us were already done before anyone even took our orders despite us notifying 3+ employees. Extremely disappointing, no manager ever came over to apologize. People continued getting food and drinks while we sat there without anyone even bothering to check in on us besides 1 waitstaff (despite the fact our waters were empty for over a hour). We went before 5pm so it wasn’t even that busy. Just very disappointed.
