We are a fast-casual restaurant with a small market component, located in Northeast Minneapolis. Our menu offers an array of items, including sandwiches, grain bowls, salads, soups, and sides with meats and veggies cooked on a charcoal grill. All of our items are made in-house, or are sourced from awesome local partners.
You can dine-in, order takeout/curbside pickup, or get delivery (from Grub Hub, BiteSquad).

About a 4.7 overall – this is an excellent sandwich shop. Carefully sourced product makes a difference, including trout smoked in-house which was used in the trout reuben which was great. Service has been good and the online ordering works well. They do have some seating as well as seating outside on the sidewalk.

Really tasty and unique sandwiches options that come with seasoned homemade chips. I particularly love their twist on a turkey reuben (don’t expect a traditional Reuben). I can’t wait to try all their vegetarian/vegan options as well.

I was really hoping to love this sandwich, but it just didn’t do it for me. I got the big dipper and was unfortunately, disappointed. First impression was the bread was disappointing. It was thick and dense, like a big Mike’s sub. Maybe that’s the style these places think is best, but when I’m trying to get into a French dip, I’m hoping for something that is soft and chewy even when it gets wet. The dip shouldn’t have to save the bread, though. Secondly, and maybe most offensively, after I took two bites out of my sandwich, I literally questioned if I had covid or not… Were my taste buds failing me? Why does this thing taste completely burnt? I opened up the sandwich to find my onions to be not so much caramelized, and really just straight up ashed. Burnt passed being edible. I’m literally picking these out to even try another bite. What a bad taste in my mouth…

Get the Reuben with chips! I have a feeling all of their sandwiches are killer. I’ll be back for sure. Chips were super light and crispy. Sandwich was hot, fresh, and smokey. I overheard two other tables comment on how tasty their sandwiches are.

I get Reubens at nearly every restaurant I go to and, let me tell you, the Reuben at Carbon is exquisite and beyond delicious. My only regret is that I was too full from the glorious monster of a sandwich that I have to wait until tomorrow to eat my harvest salad!

I have never written a review but for this place I had to because never in my life have I eaten a sandwich so good I felt like I could fly. Not only are the sandwiches astronomically delicious but the fact that everything is made in house and local? You would be a fool to not give this place your business. Okay, so I’ve been binge watching “The Bear”, and as a result, I have developed the worst craving for beef sandwiches. This hit the spot. I got, I think was essentially a french dip. Absolutely amazing sauce that hits that sweet unami craving and tender juicy beef. The chips are made in house, but they are actually thin and crispy. I regret not putting my pickle slices on my sandwich, would’ve been bomb.

Don’t let the unassuming building fool you- after you eat here your life will be changed and gosh will you feel sad for the version of yourself that hasn’t discovered Carbon Kitchen yet. I had the Red Beet Reuben with chips and my kiddos loved their turkey subs.

I NEVER leave reviews, but this place has been so good. Food is always on point & consistent, service is super fast and friendly and I’ve not been let down yet. The grilled Moroccan chicken hot club is probably my favorite sandwich that I’ve had in the cities, maybe anywhere.
