Our second time going to this wonderful restaurant. Tonight the chef made eggplant parm by request. Thank you chef! It was fantastic. Dessert…blueberry fig pie by local pastry chef Linda Naylor of Essential Confection. Great service, great atmosphere and real italian food. Everything is made fresh. Can’t wait to come back!

This was our Second time going to this restaurant and again was more than impressed. Our waiter was extremely attentive and outgoing without being too bothersome. The atmosphere is great, as well as the location in downtown Portland. Now the food was over the top. I ordered the barata ravioli with crab meat and a white sauce, this was a special offered and this was the highlight of the evening, in my opinion. A friend ordered the mahi-mahi special, he also spoke very highly of the dish. My wife had Pappardelle with house- made sausage and noodles. This place is definitely top-notch, we cannot wait to venture back. We made the drive from Vancouver, but it’s so worth it.

The food at Gilda’s was fantastic! Great ambiance and high quality homemade dinner. Service wasn’t the best. A waitress accidentally delivered our order to the wrong table. It sat for a few minutes before that table spoke up. They then brought the same plates of food to us which is definitely not okay. We had to request them remake the food. They happily did so, thank goodness. We would return with hopes service has improved.

Our party of 4 Italian food snobs were so impressed with the food and service. The garlic bread was the most amazing thing my mouth ever had. I know you’re thinking, it’s just garlic bread. But who knew garlic bread could be like this. Airy, melt in your mouth garlic bread with probably the best marinara sauce I’ve ever had. I’m looking forward to going back and getting the meatballs! Highly recommend and pricing was very reasonable!

Stopped by on a weekday for lunch before taking the kids to the zoo. The service was stellar and the food was excellent! We ordered from just about every part of the menu and nothing disappointed! Al dente and perfectly salted pasta, sauces that clearly cooked for hours, tasty paninis. My only complaint is that this place should have been busier!! Note that there’s no kids menu. But the staff were very gracious when we asked to share dishes. Next time we are in Portland, we’ll make a point to stop at Gilda’s.
