Our brunch bunch took a break from our normal West Knoxville Saturday dates to head to Redbud Kitchen in South Knox this past weekend. It was great! Our entire crew enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much! I highly suggest sitting in the window so you can people watch!

Am half-hearted with this South Knoxville restaurant. Food selection is wide. We’ve tried a lot of different food whenever we go here. But the common theme for the food is too salty and over bearing. The Shrimp and Grits is yummy, but an order would be good for probably 3 people coz it’s very creamy. The biscuits are huge and they have that beautiful brown color but the biscuits crumble easily. The flour nachos have nice dips (cheese, corn and beans, and salsa), but the deep-fried flour nachos are super salty. They should really go easy on seasoning. Our favorite is the cinnamon waffle panini, which has a nice flavor and texture. Service is really good. I like the resto interior, pretty art works.

Came for Sat brunch. Had the baked eggs big boy (topped w/sausage, bacon and cheedar cheese. Wife had baked eggs Santa Fe style. Food was delicious! The meals came with seasoned crispy tater tots and a small salad. Enjoyed it, will be coming back.

Great food and service! I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The waffles are good, but I consider them to be more of a desert than a breakfast or brunch. They’re very sweet. The biscuits are absolutely amazing! We had a party of eight. Everyone was more than satisfied with their meal. The restaurant is clean. The restrooms are clean too. Check them out. You won’t be disappointed.

A modern southern joint. The Piggy Smalls is like a BBQ burrito. I wasn’t sure the flavors would go together, but it is delicious. It’s not really spicy either. It needed a bit more pulled pork in it and smaller sweet potatoes. We also ordered the Hillbilly Heap. It was great. The chips that come with it are perfectly crispy but need a dipping sauce.

We LOVE Red Bud! It’s one of our favorite lunch spots. Anytime anyone comes into town and wants to eat this is where we take them. We often eat in, but also love the take out. Ordering online and getting food is so easy, fast, and the food is always good.

Biked here on a game day so I’m assuming that’s why the spot was so peaceful. The menu is marked to denote vegetarian and gluten free options. The waitress/bartender was very helpful in helping me to find/alter a dish that would fit my needs (vegan and free of gluten). They don’t have very many options, but I was able to order the Tomato Zen dish, which mentions a ‘robust tomato sauce’ honestly I think the sauce was quite overpowering and all I tasted was tomato sauce. I won’t order that dish again, but I may visit again for those mimosas.

I am not picky and typically love all food. But these buns on the monte cristo were so dry we had to request syrup so we could moisten to even swallow. The tots were just average tots. Very pricey for what you get. 80$ family of 4. Not busy and plenty of seating was a positive.
