Ryujin shuzo is an artisanal sake brewery located in guma prefecture(founded in 1597),just north of tokyo.with only five employees, they are an example of a brewery that still produces high quality sake using many traditional methods.this is a very dry junmai(made using yamadanishiki and gohyakumangoku rice)with a clean finish.this is a great pairing for a wide variety of foods, whether it is with raw seafood or fried foods.this sake is a great high quality value for an affordable price

Love the speakeasy vibe. Really beautiful ambiance. Got there a little before my reservation and was lucky to get a seat and grab a drink. Not much waiting space. Although the fish was really good, the experience lacked. It felt like a factory. They prepared your sushi and handed it to you and on to the next. The chefs didn’t make the experience fun or engaging at all. We sat, ordered drinks and ate within 45 minutes. If you like fast dining then this is your spot. But if you are looking to enjoy your time with your guest, I don’t recommend. The waitress was great, shout out to her !

What an amazing experience! Chef Jack is a hoot! I upgraded to the “bougie” experience courtesy of a recommendation from the lovely pink haired woman running the show. What a fantastic suggestion, it featured 17 pieces and a hand roll at the end! Wow… everything was delicious and you could tell the mastery and love that chef Jack put into each piece. In the theme of trusting the professionals, I went with the “bartender special” cocktail. Let’s just say I had three of them.. Tate was a true booze wizard. In closing I’d give this place more stars if I could. Such a fun lively experience all the way through. I went by myself but it would be an absolute perfect date night or great for a group of friends.

The food and drinks were delicious. The service was overall good. Unfortunately we left with some distaste.

The ambience was very cozy and the vibes were super chill. We had a special where it was $60 for 17 pieces which for an omakase is a pretty good deal! Most of the pieces were delightful – my personal favorites were the uni, shrimp and toro. I did feel as though the course in which the pieces were lined up could have been a bit better. I feel like the beginning half of the course were much more flavorful than the later half. We all did a complimentary sake shot with the chef. I’d say overall, it was a pleasant experience!

I haven’t tried the food at this place, but can’t beat the price for the omakase! The ambiance is what drew me to return to Sushi by Bou a second time, specifically the nomad location! The drinks and music was top notch if you are looking for a spot to drop by after dinner or before a night out.

Update: It is only fair to update this as I have received an offer from the restaurant to go back with a discount and a round of drinks. The follow up was prompt and the reception at the restaurant was enthusiastic. However I still feel that interactions with the chef could have been more engaging. Interestingly enough even when I went to the same restaurant I was serviced by the same chef… All in all food was good, I enjoy the atmosphere and appreciate the follow up after my last service.

I’m picky af and this place was bomb. Well priced, get the bougie. Fun staff, great music. Every course popped even the ones that I wouldn’t usually go for.

This place is great in concept but it’s a bit chaotic. The reservations do not start on time – you’ll be running 15-30 minutes behind schedule. The only compliments I have are that cocktails are great here, the eel is the best thing they serve, and the roe was great. Their worst piece is the otoro (fatty tuna) we received which was crunchy and had a very sour flavor. The shrimp piece was very slimey. Additionally, they did not have any wagyu beef. The following day, myself and the people I ate with all had food poisoning. I would not go back or recommend this place to anyone.
