I was back in Oceanside to view the sunset and a friend recommended we visit The Lab afterwards. Great recommendation. Although on the pricey end, the food did not disappoint. The burgers were pretty big and filling. I ordered the seafood linguine, very yummy. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts. It was sweet and savory and good. The service was quick, attentive and polite. They have a HUGE screen and we watched the warriors game. Bathrooms are unique. Park in the parking garage of the building and they will validate. We also recommend this place.

Service & Atmosphere was great. I had the Oside or No Side. I’m glad I had a side. The portion was definitely for 2 people, but the flavor wasn’t there. Wasn’t a fan of the bourbon-habanero sauce. It had a vinegar taste to it. Overall, it’s not a bad place to sit down with friends. The lab burger apparently was amazing.

Fun and surprising. Dog friendly outdoor seating and accommodations for larger groups. Great vibe and serves food later in the evening. The Mexican Martini is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced flavors of tequila, lime, agave and olive juice. The rim seasoning was a huge surprise. It’s savory and sweet with a touch of spice. The Grilled Chicken Honey Mustard salad was a successful unique combination of ingredients. Fried leeks, roasted savory carrots, cucumber and fresh greens delivered a satisfying group of textures and flavors. My only suggestions are to put the salad in a large bowl, the plate was small and things started falling off the plate when I dug in. It should come with 2 ramekins of dressing instead of one. The chicken was a tiny bit overcooked but everything was so delicious it made up for it.

This was our first time here. The atmosphere was great, the food had great presentation and taste. Our server was great also. The only negative was when our server was tied up with a table for a while, I tried to get the attention of another employee 4 times and he looked right at me and ignored me. Other than that, it was an outstanding experience!

At the beginning of our vacation, we decided to spend our last evening in The Lab, and it was the right decision. No one restaurant we visited during our vacation was so great. The food was incredibly tasty, great service, a nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. For sure the best evening we spent during our vacation was in The Lab.

Delicious food and great location. This place is in the heart of downtown Oceanside and 2 blocks from the ocean. The menu is creative and everything I’ve tried is delicious. Prices are very reasonable on the food and even more reasonable on wine and beer compared to other nearby places. Definitely try it.
