At our Murray, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

An appalling attitude amongst workers towards customers. Not concerned that our order was given to doordash by mistake. No apology and then we had to wait over 30 minutes before getting our food. At first we were told we’d have to wait for doordash to return the food. 2 other complaints came in while we were there. Perhaps if the boy taking orders paid as much attention to his job as he did to his phone things may have been different. This was our 4th and final attempt to get decent service from the store in Murray but we will never return nor recommend them ever

Food is great when it’s fresh. The reason for 3 stars is almost every time I order from there they forget something. Tonight it was the hush puppies for a family meal and the extras I ordered. So we had to drive 10 minutes back and then home and our food is cold now because it wasn’t a complete meal. I understand that accidents happen but not every time. The captain d’s i remember used to verify everything before they would hand out the order. We have other places we go that do not do this and will pick them first next time.

Food was good. They were having trouble with orders. People were not recieving correct orders and some finally gave up. My order was perfect. Young lady behind counter was doing her best and apologized for delays. Manager was frustrated and not accepting customer complaints. For whatever reason, she fired the young lady behind the counter in front of customers. I really hated to hear that. Think the manager could have handled that situation better than what she did.

My Husband and I have always enjoyed Captain Ds Murray, but saturday, 4/1, the 3 workers were so loud, we nor the other couple could have a conversation over the noise of them conversing. They need some more training or something. Just bring the voice level down a few notches. Food was great though.

Some major changes are going on here. The store now belongs to corporate. My sandwich was cold, the entire store had no butter. Flys were horrible. Maintenance needed on the dining room. The tea was soured. Staff was friendly but stated that most of the staff quit so they are very short handed.

Walking up to the door at 11:30 it said closed. The sign said lobby didn’t open until 10:30am. So we decided to go through drive-thru. 30 minutes later, the food was spot on, delicious as always but service was lacking.
