I had last visited in 1980. Our cousin’s weekend reunion party of thirteen arrived at 6:30 PM. Food arrived up until 8:25 PM. Silverware arrived at 8:39 PM. We had no water glasses for much of the meal due to waiting on the dishwasher. Every one of our alcoholic beverages had very little alcohol. Our waitress appeared totally overwhelmed. The manager never bothered to come to our table to gauge the problems. Two of us learned late that the kitchen was out of the entrees we ordered. Only two of the entrees were very good; my Cesar Salad was bland, & for $7 extra the cook tossed three shrimp on top. Two elderly couples @ two tables nearby had to go to the bar to pay because they simply could not get their checks. Our side of the dining room was laughing together because the experience felt almost surreal. We thirteen agreed that it was the WORST dining experience each of us has ever had! (Dear Mr. Manager: If you have a limited crew, DO NOT fill all your tables. If you have an inexperienced wait staff, help him/her out. If you are out of entrees, don’t offer them. If you know your customers’ experience has been negative, walk over to APOLOGIZE. Smh.)

I was visiting the area looking for real estate I really love this area. Decided to eat here over another restaurant that was close by. It was not very busy. We were seated outside. First thing I noticed was the table was very dirty. They do not clean the tables or wipe them down after somebody leaves I had a couple wipes in my purse that I use to wipe down the table. In my opinion, and as a previous restaurant owner, you need to invest in a good chef if you’re going to make any restaurant work. They definitely need to do that. The food is not good. I had the haddock with the stuffed crab meat. It had to be the most horrible thing I’ve ever seen or eaten. It was broken up pieces of fish, mixed with stuffing and crab meat. It should’ve been a nice fillet of fish with the stuffing and crab meat on the top of it. The Caesar salad was so bland. The item that was okay was the wedge salad but it was drenched with blue cheese dressing. The steak that a friend of mine had was so undercooked and cold. It did take quite a while to get the food which surprised me because they were not that busy.

We ate here earlier today, and brought my grandmother who does not get to leave the house often. Seeing the reviews are high I thought wow! This place will be amazing! I was mistaken. First – I’ll say the waitress was amazing! But the drinks are far better than the food. We order calamari almost everywhere we go that has it, this was by far the WORST calamari we’ve had, ever. It was so rubbery that my toddler couldn’t even bite through it, when brought to the waitress’s attention she said “we are required to cook it for a certain amount of time” I don’t think she knows my Fiance was a chef at one point- calamari takes 40 seconds max and that’s what the warning at the bottom of the menu about seafood, chicken, and eggs is for. She took the calamari back to the kitchen and took it off our bill. We also got some cheesy bacon fries- which were alright, the cheese only covered the top layer and the rest was bare. I had the teriyaki steak tips with coleslaw and French onion soup, the steak tips were alright but the waitress didn’t ask me how I’d like them cooked. A bit tough for my taste. The coleslaw was a salad with no flavor. The French onion soup also had no flavor besides onion and beef broth, the bread squares should be tossed in garlic and olive oil, but sadly were not, I’m a french onion soup connoisseur and i was thoroughly disappointed as it said made in-house. My grandmother had the haddock sandwich and onion rings (which were good), the bread (ciabatta bread) was too hard she couldn’t even bite it, and the haddock was also dry. My toddler had the mac and cheese, which was subpar, and kind of dry. My 11 y/o had a burger and fries- the burger was dry and tasted like a frozen patty. My fiance had the Rueben, which he said was good. My mother had the teriyaki steak bomb, she said it was WAY too sweet and the steak was so tough she could barely chew it. We told the waitress all of the complaints, paid, and left.

I ordered beef tips in savory sauce that supposedly made the eatery famous. Hubby ordered Caesar salad with a crab cake added. Photos are attached. His salad was good but the dressing was VERY watery by the end. My side salad had 4-5 large pieces of wilting or spoiling lettuce that I pulled out and set aside. The waitress was all right… Possibly she was stretched too thin. The party next to us was a bit demanding and none too quiet. The next table over from those loudmouths was equally rude and raucous. I believe our waitress was the server for both other tables, so she’s forgiven for needing reminders to bring this, that and the check. When the check did arrive, an app that we didn’t order had been added to our bill. So that had to be rectified… And it was, without issue.

The servers were very pleasant. It took a long time to have our order taken and to receive our food. I’m sure they forgot my husband’s drink. My margherita came before his soda.

STAY AWAY We waited an hour and 45 minutes for a burger and a Cuban sandwich. Our waitress assured us we were next up about 40 minutes before our food arrived. After her assurance we saw 6+tables who arrived after us get their food. No discount offered. If they can’t serve the food they should tell customers to go elsewhere..never again !!

Good service. Fun, busy atmosphere. Meatball app was awesome. I liked that it came w cheesy bread and more than one huge meatball like other meatball apps I’ve had. Buffalo chicken pizza was good too. Loved the chunky blue cheese on it.
