First time to try Indonesian food. The atmosphere was simple, casual and the service was good. There were many unusual different flavors and the food and the presentation was very good. You can customize your spice/hot levels and add more spice/hot sauce with a green sauce that they give you. They provide a good size portion but I do think it is overpriced. If you are looking for something different this Indonesian restaurant is absolutely worth trying.

Been going back to Krakatoa for a couple years now. The food is AMAZING—incredible flavors, never tried a plate I didn’t enjoy. Usually order a few big plates, kinda family style and everyone always enjoys digging in. The service is always attentive and friendly, and they will always help you figure your way around the menu if you need it. Pro tip: the corn fritters and the Rendang Sapi are DELICIOUS.

This place is a whole experience! The ambient is warm and cozy, it is very narrow but the tables are well distributed. The decoration is just beautiful and elegant, it is perfect for a date.

What a hidden gem in downtown Hollywood! I have never had Indonesian food and this was a great first experience. Culinary cherry popped! I would recommend Mie goreng.

Easily a 5 star experience! Owner was very nice to us and gave us plenty of recommendations. Food seemed pretty good as well, especially the “happy soda” which was very refreshing on such a hot south Florida day. The area the restaurant is in is very nice too with lots of other shops in walking distance.

The seafood dishes (Sepat & Singang) were good. Rendang Sapi looked beautiful but the beef was rather cold, dry, salty and spicy so we needed a lot of water to be able to eat it up. The manager was very welcoming and attentive.
