A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I love Captain D’s, however, who would have the audacity to serve anyone food like this? The chicken tasted like old grease as well! I have never had an experience like this and Main St will never receive my business again! Extremely disappointed!

The food was good. The cashier in drive thru was less than accommodating, she was actually kind of rude. I ordered the Family Seafood Platter but I wanted the fish southern style which is a corn meal batter. She said I couldn’t get that. Her tone was rude, like she didn’t want to be bothered. I want return to that Captain D’s. I’d rather drive further.

I’m talking about the one which is at Main St. Downtown. The Mgr said Corporate office wanted it that way, no dining inside. I went and there’s a sign in the entrance door. There’s no dine in. You can not eat inside, only take out. Manager not helpful. The Food was good though.

I went through drive thru. I was about $2 short. They gave me my drink free! That was kind of them. Plus i had chicken fingers with my shrimp and fish dinner with 2 sides.. i didnt realize i got all that! It was delicious!!! Thanks so much Captain D’s!!!

The food is delicious fresh and hot. I didn’t visit so I can’t comment on the employees. My food was bought by my son and once by my husband. But I did visit them years ago and the atmosphere and employees were very nice at that time. I will give the cook a up!!

Visited the restaurant today. The young lady was wearing slides behind the counter and eating ice while providing service. The food was not cooked well. When, I asked for another breadstick because it was cold, the young lady told the cook and he got upset. He then proceeded to through the break stick through the window. I told the young lady that I didn’t want that, because I didn’t want my food thrower through the window like that. The cook yelled from the back “does she want it or. It” I said, “No”, he said “I Don’t Care anything about that”. He continued to make comments. We left after. Worst experience EVER. The staff are unprofessional, lack training centered around customer service!

Ordered a 3 piece fish with sides and one of the sides was okra I wanted it to be fried hard so when I received the order it looked kind of under cooked so as I was touching it to see maybe it could be hard to the touch the young lady that took my order said harshly “NO DON’T TOUCH IT HE CAN RE COOK IT” so my response was just give me my money back because that was very rude it’s a way to talk to a customer so the manager said that she was sorry about what happened and refunded my money.The young lady smiled at the manager and said “I wasn’t rude” I told her that I’ve worked in fast food before and it’s a better way to talk to people…here’s the kicker ONCE FOOD HAS BEEN PLACED IN A CUSTOMER’S HANDS OR CROSS THAT COUNTER YOU DO NOT RECOOK THE FOOD THAT’S CROSS CONTAMINATION *Health violation. FYI I work at a nearby hospital. Upper management need to address this to ALL of their employees. This incident happened at the Main street location store number 3380 at 7pm 1/4/2023
