I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kintsugi, and it was an experience that transcended all my expectations. Here’s why Kintsugi deserves nothing short of 5 stars:

Went here for my bday, and had a really fun experience. I want to specifically thank the chef ‍ for being so funny, and the host (Ash) for paying special attention to me. They pay individual attention to detail and have the best jokes – the aura is very calm, relaxing and intimate. They didn’t rush us and we were there for more than 2 hours. Having different omakase experiences i can state that here it is really different.

Loved this Omakase experience, what a fabulous treat. Premium sushi for the mid price at $135. There’s even better premium pieces for the $165. But if you just want a taste, get the $99 set. If you’re a uni lover like me, you must, must get the uni tasting in addition. You won’t regret it. My tasting had uni from Hokkaido, Santa Barbara and Maine. So delicious. The smoky uni was just as fabulous.

I came here for my birthday and made a great choice! The host/serve was incredibly attentive, friendly, and kind. The chef was on top of it with serving each piece at the perfect time. At the end, there’s a chance to re-order any pieces you particularly liked and the toro was definitely my #1 choice.

The best Omakase in NYC. Intimate dining experience, 8 seat restaurant. Quality of the fish w was top notch. Service was also excellent. Bravo to the chef for creating an experience such as this one. We will be back

Last week we went in to celebrate our anniversary. We planned to sit outside due to Covid-19, but because of openings, it ended up just being my partner and I, along with one other guest. The host offered us a chance to sit at the Chef table instead of outside to watch and listen to Chef describe each plate while on the other end of the table from the other guest to be safely distanced. We were all carded for ID and proof of vaccine and I felt tremendously safe as everyone wore masks inside and the place was superbly clean.

Instead of getting the omakase, I decided to try out out the premium 8 pieces with a roll, as well as an uni flight. First I’d like to say the fish/ingredient, without a doubt, are extremely fresh and well-selected.
