Service was spectacular and food was just as good. Best potstickers I’ve had in awhile!! So crispy and yummy. The sushi was also amazing! We had the dynamite and spider rolls. Would HIGHLY recommend this place! Left full and happy

One of the most comforting, positive dining experiences I’ve had in STL. I sat by the bar and was served graciously by Benji (I hope that’s how he spells his name). All night we bantered, being the perfect complement with the food. The restaurant isn’t overly flashy, it has the right amount of decorations to make it feel comfortable, without seeming like it was trying to be overly ethnic.

If you’re looking for exceptional food with sub par service, this place is for you. The food was pretty good, just took some time for it to come out. The servers didn’t even come by once to check on us to see how the food was or if we needed anything. We were sitting one table away from the chefs and they didn’t ask how the food was either. After paying for our bills, they did not say anything when we were leaving the restaurant. Overall, gave us a bad taste in our mouths and was not worth the wait. They did not even want to honor a military discount for us and laughed at us when asked. If the overall service was excellent, we would’ve tipped more than the 20% added gratuity, however we did not believe 20% should’ve been added for the experience we all had.

Stopped in while staying in the area because of the positive reviews. I’m glad we did. The sushi was fresh. We also ordered the gyoza appetizer, which was very good. We were given complimentary miso soup and ginger salad. Both were delicious. The service was prompt and polite. The atmosphere was cozy. Definitely a good place, albeit slightly pricey. I don’t mind paying a little more for quality food, so it was definitely worth the price.

The sushi was incredibly good. It was fresh and lovely-tasting. Even the uni was not fishy-tasting like the usual, and my newbie dining partner lived it too. We only tried the sushi and one roll, but it exceeded our New York and Los Angeles palates’ expectations.

Planning on spending our anniversary here since my boyfriend and I had our second date here and it’s only the best sushi that we’ve ever had so far. Well worth the little splurge for the amount of quality in the food and the general atmosphere. We love this place. ❤️ Highly recommend the soft shell crab, spider roll and takoyaki

I’ve been here several times to celebrate. The service is great and friendly. Occasionally we also get complimentary miso soup, which is awesome. Good sushi!

This was one of the worst sushi establishments that I’ve ever tried. The cream cheese on the roll tastes as if it were sitting out all day, and the portion size of meat in the rolls were scarce. The only okay thing I had was the Gyoza, and they don’t tell you that the sauce accompanied with it is super spicy, which is a first. I will never return here.

Pictured are the Kampai Special Roll and Dynamite Roll. Both so good!! Not picture are the gyzo- also incredible. They were very busy with curbside orders during my visit so be patient. The young lady working host/curbside/waiter was very kind and helpful.
