What a spectacular experience we had at La Taverne tonight. This is the top restaurant within the Broadmoor and for good reason. The first thing we noticed walking through to our seats is how beautiful the space is. It only got better from there as the food was amazing! Having dined in a lot of the best restaurants in Denver, Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek, and Telluride, I can say that LA Taverne is my favorite dining establishment in the state of Colorado. I had what was quite possibly the best chicken dish of my life. Without a doubt, we highly recommend dining here if you’re in the area.

Absolutely breathtaking if you sit on the covered patio (sort of like a sun room? I’m not sure what you’d actually call it, but it was beautiful and the ceiling decor was gorgeous).

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here back in March 2022. I had the wahoo and he had the salmon. It was the best food we have ever eaten and we reminisce about it all the time!! Our waiter was very nice and we were given free dessert for our anniversary. It was such a great experience and we can’t wait to come back again! ☺️

We visited La Taverne to celebrate birthdays. We were greeted with smiles and happy birthday wishes. Our dinner was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable. Dessert was on the house for our birthday! I highly recommend you visit La Taverne. Try the Slow Cooked Duck Confit.

Unfortunately I find this place overrated. To start we were sent a dress code for our reservation which is anticipated for a “high end restaurant”. Yet I don’t understand a dress code for a place with children as guests, we have 5 of our own and wouldn’t consider bringing them unless the behavior met the atmosphere. Next is the price, we knew it would be roughly a $800 meal for 4 which again isn’t a problem as long as the kitchen and service could deliver. When I order a $100+ dry aged steak, it shouldn’t show up thin, overcooked and dry. It was ordered at medium temperature and didn’t have a sighting of pink. My wife who was looking out for me on my birthday had to get up and find someone so we could send it back. 20 minutes later after most of the other meals were finished my new steak arrived. Although cooked correctly it still lacked the flavor of a dry aged steak which leads me to believe it wasn’t. The creamed spinach may as well have be out of a can. The 3 stars are present from the old fashioned I started with along with the crab bisque, both being delicious and correct. When all was said and done neither the server nor management even offered a drink , nor removed the price of 1 drink from the check. I’m from another state and this type of business suggests that we should never return. Folks, save your money and find a different restaurant which will provide you a better experience at half the price.

Outstanding fine dining experience in a beautiful setting. Service was friendly, and very knowledgeable. They did not rush us and allowed us to enjoy the meal and the atmosphere. You need to walk the grounds of the hotel before / after your mean – absolutely gorgeous. Truly a special place and will dine there during my next visit. Only regret is that I did not reserve a table in their enclosed patio – that one is on me!

The food was good, but not $650 for 6 people good. We had a total of 5 drinks between the 6 of us, and the taste of the food did not match the price. I’ve spent more than that per person and left very happy, but at $100+ per head, I want to leave with my eyes wide open.

Spectacular place for a nice quiet dinner. The service was exceptionally friendly and kind. They throw on a 20% gratuity on the bill for just the two of us but I expected to pay anyway. You’ll want to wear your Sunday best to keep from feeling underdressed
