In My Horrible Opinion
This is a foodie gem! The food is so flavorful & unique. Our server rattled of the specials & highlights at breakneck speed. I asked him to do it a lot slower. I’m glad I did because this place is so unique, I had a lot of questions after looking at the menu. We had a lot of great food during our visit, and JF easily stood out as the most original. Our 12 year old grand daughter enjoyed her “deconstructed sushi” bowl, but if you have picky eater kids, this may not be up their alley.

Exceptional collision of different cuisines that satisfy with every dish. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Our server, Dexter made excellent suggestions and timed our dishes perfectly. I’m not a shellfish and pork fella, Dexter took my needs seriously and ensured everything was explained. The dish, presentations, portions and temps were perfect.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in the Charleston area. If you live here, you’re gonna need to add this in your rotation. If you’re a tourist, figure out a way to get here asap. Everything is so delicious every single time! The karaage chicken is obviously a go to.

Overall 10/10 experience. Not only do they have an excellent, unique cocktails but a wonderful wine list. We were there in half price wine night so we bought a bottle and it was a very nice chenin blanc. The food was INCREDIBLE. Do yourself a favor and get the fish tartare – my boyfriend and I were both blown away by the flavor, the freshness of the fish, the buttery texas toast. I will dream of that fish tartare for the rest of my life. Also the Japanese fried chicken was incredible – we got the regular kind with the chili oil on the side and it was delicious, tasty and perfect friend with some nice heat thanks to the chili oil balanced with the creamy lemon mayo.

This was one of the most memorable places from my trip to Charleston. It’s off the beaten path and feels like more of a local spot. The eclectic decor and gorgeous bar make you feel at home. Everything we ordered was amazing. Don’t sleep on the wok vegetables!

My dream restaurant- creative cuisine, delicious drinks, sublime service and a cozy, unique vibe. This team did a pop up in Boston years ago for their former food truck and this resto was my #1 destination in Charleston. It fulfilled my fantasies and i wish i could go back! We had dim sum and everything was delectable, my favorite was the radish cake and ofc cant not mention the fried chicken. Divine!!

Amazing gem in Charleston! Love their creative dishes drawing from Southern and Chinese/Japanese influences. The fish tartare was exquisite, made sure nothing was left unfinished! Ambience is very casual and everyone is attentive to our dinner. I felt accepted and welcomed as a guest in South Carolina. Will come again on my next visit to Charleston, keep up the great work!
