At our Valdosta, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Employees could care less about their jobs, or their physical appearance. Couldn’t be bothered to listen to the words coming from my mouth and put in my order completely wrong. Drink machine doesn’t make ice and is from the 90’s with the 4 most basic options. Food took forever to finish, and they didn’t even bring it to the table. I guess they decided it was just too busy (with the 3 other folks eating at the same time as us.) Dining area has a weird smell too. Walls/windows, surfaces all dirty/Dingy from lack of proper cleaning. Captain D’s anywhere but Valdosta is great. This one needs a do over. Staff, and management as well. If management was doing their job, these wouldn’t be ongoing problems. Food was okay, but I did find a bone in my fillet.

You know what you are in for when the cashier wont respond to hello and looks at you coldly, it seems that 2 three piece for here and one 3 piece to go was just too much for comprehension. Got all 3 to go thats not what we asked for, guess it aint burger king. Doors falling off cabinets in dining area, and too lazy to put paper towels in their dispenser in bathroom, as well as toilet paper in its dispenser, much clean the nasty stinking thing….owner WHERE ARE YOU HAVE YOU SEEN THIS DUMP. I spent 40 bucks for 9oz of fish and bread and you cant be bothered to check on how your business is operating..Disgusting

I sat at the drive-thru ordering speaker for about 10 minutes. The girl came in and said ‘one moment’, then nothing for about 5 minutes straight. I had to say hellooo to make sure she was still there. She then replied ‘one moment’ AGAIN… then another 2-3 minutes of silence went by. Then, finally she came on to take my order. She was nice however, when I finally did make it to the pickup window.

This place needs more employees. It takes literally 30 to an hour to get food, but She does make sure it is correct and Its not her fault that it takes that long. Regardless unless you have an hour to spare this is not the place

Nothing wrong with the employees, they were doing the best she could but the poor girl taking the orders on the inside also had to take the drive thru orders. Also they were out of lobster which is why I went in the first place….should’ve left and went somewhere else. Won’t be going back.
