Gare The Bear
Nice pub on Idaho and 10th in Boise. Plenty of tables, not a sports bar. They have some unique spins on food, especially the bowls.

This place is amazing, what made it amazing is the waiter that we had, his name was Daniel and he was incredibly awesome!! We had a great big group of people, all having a good time. His recommendations were perfect, he was spot on with everything. The food was incredible and delicious!!! The huckleberry cider has great flavor and goes down easy, as did all of the drinks we ordered. Daniel was on top of everything, anything and everything we asked for he had it within a few minutes Waters were kept full, even lemon for the waters were given to us and fresh ones on the table. He joked around with us and made the visit great, we had friends from North Carolina and they just absolutely loved it. This is my second visit to the Edge brewery, my last one was up on steelhead way and that was absolutely incredible as well. Definitely worth a stop!!!! The food is amazing, the services incredible, beer and cider the same. You won’t be sorry make sure you stop by!!!

Let’s just say we did some DnD dice rolling and ended up here. Fate had it that we would visit this brewery and taste it’s delicious food. If you like jalapenos in your food, they have quite the selection. We got the Sexy Philly, aptly named that because it was meaty and drool worthy due to the spiciness. The Ulti-mac, which tasted like a spicy taco mac and cheese. The Steak Melt, pretty standard, but the Edge Fries had a nice combination of sweet, sour, and savory, a nice surprise to the tongue. We also got some snake bites which tasted amazing with the mango pepper jelly and the wings doused in blackwater bbq, so good!

Great pub, a couple blocks from 8th street so it isn’t super crowded. For a relatively small spot they have a great food menu and the beer is excellent.

Great food and beer!? Yes this place has great pub food with a local twist. Definitely worth a visit and also sports a cool vibe and upstairs balcony.

2nd time for dinner here – was awesome. Totally different menu then the main (original location) Edge. Still great choices and variety. Can be a sleeper when other downtown eats are slammed (looking at you 8th Street). Worth coming here even if busy.

Quick table service food came out fast. Have to park on the side street. The guac burger was delicious as well as the mac and cheese.

Stopped in last Thursday, semi busy, patio was full due to live music, so we sat ourselves inside and waited 5 minutes before I found us some menus to look at, and then waited another 5 minutes before someone finally acknowledged us.. 2 gals were at the counter chatting the whole time from when we got there till one finally came over. Order the hummus platter and the Mediterranean salad with chicken. For the extra amount of money I paid for the chicken wasn’t worth it. It was dry and small. The gal only came back once to check on us the whole time we were there. Felt like the people outside, just drinking beer were more important than us. Very disappointed in the food and service. Will continue to go to their original one than this one. By far better in my opinion.

Great service and people to start. Didn’t see cheese curds on the menu but we did online so we asked. Minutes later we had 2 of the best orders of cheese curds I ever had. And yes, I have been to Wisconsin. Great wings too, and the beer was cold and really really good. Outside area is cool. Definitely recommended.
