Casey’s is definitely one of the best gas stations in Iowa. This one is a little bit older but it’s got all the updated stuff all the other ones half employees were friendly. They always have plenty of options for a quick bite to eat.

Ordered a pizza on a slow night and it said it would take 70 minutes to be done. That time seemed ridiculously long for a single pizza, but we waited. Then, when we checked inside at the 70 minute mark, the pizza was still not done while the store was clearly practically empty. Again, we waited for roughly 20 more minutes, making me believe they didn’t start our order until close to the 70 minute mark. Frankly, it was pretty aggravating to have to wait that long for such a small order on such a slow night, especially since we picked it up instead of ordering delivery

I watched a well know lady in town that works there as a manager steal money from the cash drawer. When I confronted her about it she said she wasn’t doing anything and basically calling me a liar. I went straight to the other manager and told him what was going on. I came in a few days later. She was still there, still in a management position and running cash drawers on her own. That’s terrible. I’ve been in a few more times since and she’s still there in the drawers. As customers we are able to have the option of asking for cash back. Pretty easy for an employee to get away with this kind of thing. I’ve asked for the DM to get ahold of me and haven’t heard anything either. With our town being so small we don’t have a lot of options. I don’t ask for cash back anymore and get a receipt every time. She could just be running refunds through and taking the cash that way too. Shame on the way this was handled.

Actually love working here. Love being able to joke around with boss and employees, and still be able to get all our work done. We are act like one big family here, and I feel like that’s how we all should be. For those that don’t care for us….. there are 2,000+ other Casey’s stores in the USA to go to. Pick one you like.

We tried to call in an order for pizza at 6:55 tonight and we tried calling repeatedly for 15 minutes and no one answered. We ended up driving there to put in a order. I was expecting maybe staff shortage or the kitchen was closed, but instead they had 6 people working that didn’t seem too busy at all. Everyone was nice while there but I’m really discouraged on the poor customer service. The fact that they all cared to take a smoke break over answering a simple phone call was disappointing. If things get better I’d be happy to leave a better review, but for now 2 stars is being very generous of me.

My family and I always use Casey’s for our fuel and convenience needs. I am a rewards member and have been a faithful fan. Last night, however, I went to this location and needed to purchase batteries. They were marked $10.29 and they rang up $12.99. I understand it’s only a couple of dollars, but when I mentioned it to the cashier, I was told that they were marked wrong and “did I still want them”. Nonapologetic at all. I have never not received the MARKED price when it was the store’s mistake. I couldn’t believe it and I won’t be using this store again. Also, when I entered the store, there was a very loud conversation going on between several employees (not work related) and they certainly didn’t stop or lower their voices with customers in the store.

Stopped at Casey’s in Mt Vernon Iowa today , first a Casey’s semi was parked directly in front of the store. No regards to handicapped or other patrons .I walked into the store stood at the counter waiting to order subs for our lunch. I rang the bell repeatedly and was totally ignored by staff members. Guess I will never go to that Casey’s again
