We had a big group that Wepa was able to accommodate with reservations. The hostess was attentive and walked everyone through their questions. Our food was very quick and delicious. I had the garlic sauce shrimp which were to die for.

Delicious and unique food, great atmosphere and friendly service. This restaurant has so many delicious choices, from their appetizers, to the main courses and dessert. The patio seating during warm weather is perfect for dinner in the evening.

Wepa Cafe has become a favorite. My wife and I went on a Carribbean cruise several years ago that sailed out of Puerto Rico. We loved the food we tried there, and I started making some Puerto Rican dishes when I came home.

Let me start off by saying I’m a Puerto Rican Italian who grew up in the Bronx, NY around some of the best, authentic Puerto Rican food. I didn’t have a clue that when I visited Boise Idaho for work that I’d find an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant just two blocks from my hotel. This place is absolutely authentic and the food is amazing. I had the carne frita. It was fried and seasoned perfectly. The maduros were sweet and delicious. The rice and beans were great. I also ordered picadillo and shrimp postalillos (empanadas)… Amazing… So much so I had this meal both nights I was here. Just go and enjoy.

The atmosphere was great, but being raised in Puerto Rico and knowing how proud we are of “nuestra isla” there was no sign of that in this restaurant, no flags, no coqui, no homage to La Isla Del Encanto.

Really good food! We tried the Wepa Bites (with pork and shrimp — pork was the best), and the pastellilos (ground beef & guava / cream cheese) for our appetizers. For dinner we had the Coconut Mahi Mahi and Pernil. The fish was really good with its mango slaw!

Happened to be walking by and had no chance, the food smells incredible. I’ve never had Puerto Rican cuisine before and I’m hooked. My fried pork and plantains are were awesome. The cheesecake we had was perfect. Even better it’s close to the greenbelt.

The food was absolutely amazing, and can’t stop talking about the guava mousse. It was utterly fantastic, highly recommend.

The authentic cuisine was incredible. Staff and family run Puerto Rican restuarant was better than expected. Slow roasted pork and pina colata cheese cake were delicious. You need to take the time to dine here… it was the find of my trip to Boise ID..

Came here based on a few quick Google reviews I could see while in Boise for a conference…wow!!! Wepa Cafe was worth the 4/10ths of a mile walk from the Riverside Hotel. Clean dining area and tables, friendly staff (who made excellent recommendations on menu items) and most importantly the food was phenomenal!! I recommend the Carne Frita highly. Fresh tasting, crispy, and properly seasoned. 10/10 would eat here again.
