I tried this place out on mud Monday afternoon. It was not busy at all so we had our pick of seating. Our waitress was out pretty quickly and very friendly through our whole visit. We ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and the loaded burger. Both were good with their shoestring fries. And the burgers came out fast. All together a great experience.

First off – I might have had a better opinion of this place had the a/c actually worked. We called earlier in the day to verify holiday hours and no one mentioned the a/c was down. Oh — they’ll be out in a few days to fix it. No sign on the door. No mention until we asked.

Service, drinks, and music bingo were great. The food was not good at all. We ordered fried pickles and fried cheese curds. The pickles were super vinegar-y. My husband and I ate 3 each and just couldn’t eat anymore. They were super greasy too. The cheese curds were over seasoned and were also super greasy. We didn’t finish either appetizers, nor did we want it boxed up.

I actually really like this place. Awesome beer selections and great food! However, their food is a bit expensive and their side portion is very small. When I get a burger, which I get often, I get a total of 20ish fries. No lie. Even if you ask for more they will make you pa, even though your meal was 30% higher than any VA Beach restaurant. it’s unfortunate.

This Tap It Local is located in the Dominion Commons Shopping Center. This place is fairly easy to get to and there is ample parking available as well. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. My visit here was in the afternoon on October 18, 2020.

Terrible all around. We were only the third table on a Saturday night. It was a half hour before anyone took our order, and another hour before we got any food. We stayed because the food used to be great, but not anymore. The burgers were dry, and tasted mostly like the bun. There was no way the were 1/2 lb. as listed on the menu. The only good part of the meal was the fried Brussels sprouts, but they were an extra $4 on top of an $18 burger. To add insult to injury, they no longer have any games for kids.

First time eating here and will definitely come back when in the area. I got the tuna tacos which was very delicious and cooked exactly like asked. The craft beer was good too. My husband got the rebuen and he said it was one of the best he has had. For an appetizer we got the shrimp and crab dip with chips and definitely will get it again….good price with lots whole shrimp and lots of crab meat.

I’ve been here several times and really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere and service are great. The food however, has always been bland and less than expected. Example: Tonight I ordered the “Burger of the Week” which was supposed to have blue crab Mac n cheese. The crab was barely there, as was the Mac n cheese. (See picture). No flavor in this and most food in the past. Cheese on my burger and another in my party both cold.

This place was pretty good. We went for lunch on Valentine’s day and it was almost totally empty. We ordered the beer cheese fries and I wasn’t a fan but my fiancé liked them. The main course was pretty nice I enjoyed that a lot. The issue I had was when we ordered something labelled a banana cake and it came with peanuts on it, we asked if we could send it back due to a peanut allergy and the kitchen staff said they didnt actually know what was in the cake. I think having allergens labelled on the menu might be a good thing to consider so people know what they cant have ahead of time. However the service at the bar and table was awesome. Our waitress was super kind and funny and she did her best to help us, I’d give her 10 stars if I could
